Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Painfully unfunny. Worse even than SCRUBS. WHO watches this?

by Anonymousreply 44January 18, 2018 7:24 AM

I do. It started off a little rough but it became a very good sitcom. You have issues OP.

by Anonymousreply 1April 21, 2014 8:16 PM

I like it. Best new sitcom for the 2013-14 season

by Anonymousreply 2April 21, 2014 8:19 PM

I always thought Andy Samberg was cute in a kind of goofy Jewishy way, and had BDF, but the scene with him wearing a pair of Speedos makes me think there is no there there

Horrible dumb show.

Give Terry Crews his own show--but he has to be naked for at least ten minutes an episode.

Talk about sex on a stick! You probably all have seen him many times but don't know who he is.

Learn his name. He is the perfect man.

by Anonymousreply 4April 22, 2014 2:21 AM

r4, you know the DL only has love for AWGs.

by Anonymousreply 5April 22, 2014 2:29 AM

Me! Andre Braugher is hilarious.

by Anonymousreply 6April 22, 2014 2:32 AM

I agree R4, he's the one who should have been in the speedo. S-t-u-d.

I like the show and I can honestly say I wasn't all that crazy about Andy Samberg when he was on SNL.

But there are some fun characters and it amuses me. I also like "The Mindy Project" for the same reason and am glad it is getting another season.

"Dads" OTOH, was a complete load of crap. An absolutely [italic]unwatchable[/italic] show.

I am forever out of step. Shows I think are dumb, stay on for years - shows I enjoy are inevitably cancelled. I'm a jinx, I tell ya.

by Anonymousreply 7April 22, 2014 2:35 AM

stinky linky at r3

by Anonymousreply 8April 22, 2014 2:35 AM

Andre Braugher is hysterical in it. And yes, Terry is beyond hot. It can be silly, but it IS a sitcom.

by Anonymousreply 9April 22, 2014 2:36 AM

i just watch it for terry crews. mmhmmm sexual choocolalte

by Anonymousreply 10April 22, 2014 2:40 AM

Oh Terry Crews...please do some nude photos somewhere...you have so many fans...you are handsome and a good actor too...also you are very funny...enjoy you in all of your work

by Anonymousreply 11April 22, 2014 2:58 AM

I saw every episode, and am glad it has been renewed.

It takes a little time to find its rhythm and it will never be a big hit, but I enjoy its mix of quirky and realistic.

by Anonymousreply 12April 22, 2014 3:27 AM

i want nudes from crewes too. he would make a good Luke Cage. he has the guns and the buns.

by Anonymousreply 13April 22, 2014 3:32 AM

sorry. let's try this one

I love it! It's from the producers of Parks & Rec, but I feel that it's even better - has a mix of really distinctive characters that reminds me of classics like Taxi and Cheers (and, yeah, Barney Miller).

by Anonymousreply 15April 22, 2014 3:05 PM

It's fun, and like a lot of sitcoms, it took a few episodes for them to figure out what works and what doesn't.

by Anonymousreply 16April 22, 2014 5:48 PM

I thought I would watch for Andy Samberg, but I am actually watching for Terry Crews, Andre Braugher, and the rest of the cast. They are brilliant on this show.

by Anonymousreply 17April 22, 2014 6:57 PM

It really found its feet about 2/3 of the way through the first season, and episodes 18 onwards were really funny. I hope they keep that up for Season 2.

by Anonymousreply 18April 22, 2014 7:04 PM

It's Parks and Recreation but with cops instead. I still watch it though.

by Anonymousreply 19April 22, 2014 7:34 PM
You have issues OP.

Because he dislikes a TV show you enjoy? *Someone* has issues all right ...

by Anonymousreply 20April 22, 2014 7:37 PM

I like that the head cops are two black men, one of whom (the boss) is openly gay. There are also two Latina cops, with distinctly different personalities. It's such a rarity to see more than one person of color on a show, especially when they aren't written as stereotypes, that it's hard not to like it just for going there.

by Anonymousreply 21April 22, 2014 9:33 PM

Terry Crews has a new show

by Anonymousreply 22May 13, 2014 3:05 PM

I agree R21, the nonchalant way the cast of characters is incredibly diverse is great. And it makes sense, we are taking about police officers in NYC. These days that means tons of diversity.

by Anonymousreply 23May 13, 2014 3:08 PM

Has some really funny moments.

I love Andre B. in anything.

by Anonymousreply 24May 13, 2014 3:08 PM

R21 The best example of this kind of diversity is Sleepy Hollow, which is a very fun show.

Thanks for giving me an excuse to post a pic of Tom Mison.

Has anyone seen Andy in Cockoo? He looks really good. Dirty, but hot.

by Anonymousreply 26May 13, 2014 3:12 PM

R21 is correct. It's great to see a NY-based sitcom that isn't stocked solely with white people.

by Anonymousreply 27May 13, 2014 4:46 PM

I enjoy it and think it is funny.

by Anonymousreply 28May 14, 2014 11:59 AM

I laughed watching every single episode. It's a great show.

by Anonymousreply 29May 14, 2014 7:09 PM

It took a few episodes, but it's grown on me and I like the characters and storylines, looking forward to the next season.

by Anonymousreply 30May 14, 2014 9:07 PM

Dump this. Unfunny.

Resurrect ENLISTED and RAISING HOPE.

Add Terry Crews to either one or better yet give him his own show, with plenty of shirtless scenes in workout shorts.

by Anonymousreply 31May 15, 2014 2:52 AM

Bump

by Anonymousreply 32May 24, 2014 9:34 PM

Filipino Bieber? I love this show.

by Anonymousreply 33May 11, 2015 12:36 AM

R31, while I wish they would bring Enlisted and Raising Hope back... Brooklyn Nine-Nine is fun too.

And I really, really hate to admit it, but I seriously want to fuck Andy Samberg.

by Anonymousreply 34May 11, 2015 12:43 AM

Wasn't it renewed?

by Anonymousreply 35May 18, 2015 1:44 PM

Get behind me, R34. His ass is mine.

by Anonymousreply 36May 18, 2015 1:59 PM

B99 was renewed, yes R35. I'm glad, I've really come to love this show.

by Anonymousreply 37May 18, 2015 2:08 PM
And I really, really hate to admit it, but I seriously want to fuck Andy Samberg.

Proving once again that fame is an aphrodisiac

by Anonymousreply 38May 18, 2015 2:10 PM

But Scrubs had the hot janitor and the hot black guy in it.

by Anonymousreply 39May 18, 2015 2:43 PM

Loved Scrubs but cannot stand Samberg.

by Anonymousreply 40May 18, 2015 3:09 PM

Andre Braugher killed it in the last scene in the season finale.

I love Kyra Sedgwick's occasional visits as his nemesis, too.

by Anonymousreply 41May 18, 2015 4:30 PM

It's a fun show.

by Anonymousreply 42May 18, 2015 4:34 PM

bump

by Anonymousreply 43January 18, 2018 2:11 AM

Consistently funny. Not much depth, but sometimes you want something light and frothy. And, god help me, Andy Samberg can be sexy.
