Windows 8/8.1 users get free Xbox Music Streaming

It's unlimited streaming for the first six months, then ten hours free every month thereafter... works on the web too, even if you're not on Windows 8 everywhere.

Kind of a cool perk.

After six months, it's 9.99/month to keep unlimited steaming, and that price also includes downloading for off-line playback.

Are you being paid to shill for that shitty, third world product?

Here is the latest info on Microsoft's search to replace Steve Ballmer.

They are going to need a miracle worker in Redmond running the show.

Make that get free Xbox Music Streaming and $5,000 cash and it's a deal.

by Anonymousreply 311/06/2013

I dunno... there are more Windows 8.x users out there than there are all versions of OS X put together. And Microsoft hasn't exactly advertised this benefit/feature ... it's interesting and good to know.

Free streaming of any track you want? Why would you try to shit on or dismiss that?

Take advantage!

R1, are you being paid to mindlessly bash things you don't even use or understand? Just curious.

by Anonymousreply 511/07/2013

[quote]shitty, third world product?

You're a fucking idiot, grandpa.

by Anonymousreply 611/07/2013

There's really no reason to use Windows unless you live in some Eastern European slum and have to hack into other computers for a living.

by Anonymousreply 711/07/2013

R7, could you be more ignorant and wrong? I don't think so...

by Anonymousreply 811/07/2013

You don't get six months of free streaming of over 30 million tracks from Apple, just sayin'...

by Anonymousreply 911/08/2013

Windows 8.1 and IE11 are both really good, but some people can't seem to move past earlier, crapier versions... and can't update their opinions to fit the new reality. Sad.

by Anonymousreply 1011/08/2013

I guess that explains why Spotify won't make an app for Win8/RT.

by Anonymousreply 1111/08/2013

The website works fine.

Besides, who needs Spotify when you have Xbox Music for free?

by Anonymousreply 1211/08/2013

Will it work with your Zune?

by Anonymousreply 1311/08/2013

Yup. And it works with your Android or iOS, your PC or Mac, your Windows Phone... Whatever you've got.

[quote]who needs Spotify when you have Xbox Music for free?

Spotify is free and I don't want to have to figure out how to use another music player. Plus, I have saved playlists and I like the apps available on Spotify.
