It's happening to Washington really fast...

It's joining the Club, with New York, San Francisco, Boston.

Those sky-high rents, pricey real estate, the middle class being shut out. Forget Dupont Circle, or Logan Circle, or even Columbia Heights and Shaw. Anything west of Rock Creek Park is permanently unaffordable unless you're making six figures. You might find something in the sketchier parts of outer Capitol Hill. Even across the river, Arlington and Alexandria...same deal. Another great city ruined by its own success. Office buildings and construction cranes are everywhere. But YOU can't afford it.

It will soon be economically unfeasible to live in the suburbs and have to travel any distance to work, and that's where the poorest will end up as the wealthiest congregate in urban areas..
