I am obsessed with Judge Judy

best show on tv.

by Anonymousreply 4811/03/2013

It passes.

by Anonymousreply 111/01/2013

It's very one- note though. Can you imagine it in 15 years? Only actual retarded people will still be watching.

by Anonymousreply 211/01/2013

OP, you should go to YouTube and search for "judge Judy prank call."

There are tons of them and some are very funny. I'm still amazed how many people didn't recognize her voice (or realize they were talk to a recording).

by Anonymousreply 311/01/2013

Couple breaks up. Guy owes rent money.

Roomates move out. Property is damaged.

Girl owes former mother-in-law money.

by Anonymousreply 411/01/2013

R4 you forgot to include:

Girl buys boyfriend rims for his car/motorcycle. Boyfriend breaks up and never pays her back.

Girl bails boyfriend out of jail. Boyfriend breaks up and never pays her back.

by Anonymousreply 511/01/2013

Someone should do a Judge Judy Garland parody. I imagine she'd give terrible advice.

by Anonymousreply 611/01/2013

OP, go the extra mile like this guy:

by Anonymousreply 711/01/2013

I like to get on her show and then step up to the bench and give her a shot in the mouth.

by Anonymousreply 811/01/2013

You talk big, r8. I suspect you'd piss yourself first.

by Anonymousreply 911/01/2013

I get a kick out of the show. Some of the ex boyfriends are hot. And some of the people so dumb that if they mouth off or won't listen, she dismisses the case and all their appearance money goes to the other party.

by Anonymousreply 1011/01/2013

I hate her, she never listens to any of them just likes to hear herself bark.

by Anonymousreply 1111/01/2013

I used to watch only the post-trial interviews. You'd have the losing party still arguing his/her case while little kids are climbing the walls in the background.

by Anonymousreply 1211/01/2013

One thing I can say about her is that it's not an act -- I remember sitting in her Manhattan family courtroom (around 1992) where she just went after this poor black woman. I didn't follow the case closely enough to know whether it was warranted, but JJ's venom was quite unusual.

by Anonymousreply 1311/01/2013

#4 & #5, what about all the idiots suing over cell phones? That's what bores me. I think she's crusty with everyone and sometimes even shows great compassion. She also explains the law very well. I mean, THIS ISN'T A TEA DANCE!

by Anonymousreply 1411/01/2013

She is supposedly the highest paid talent on TV.

by Anonymousreply 1511/01/2013

I just watched one where the one woman was counter suing for 2000 because the plaintiff got a restraining order against her.

"Madam you superglued two threatening letters to her door, I would get a restraining order, Burt would get a restraining order..she had every right.."

by Anonymousreply 1611/01/2013

I love her, but go through phases of watching cases on Youtube and don't keep up with the new episodes.

Some of the cases are unforgettable...John Lydon stands out, "she stole my freakin' checks!" and the crazy Tupperware lady were some of my favorites.

by Anonymousreply 1711/01/2013

WEHT the guy who told us he appeared before Judy with his former lover. The episode didn't exist.

by Anonymousreply 1811/01/2013

Oh God, I forgot about that guy. Guess he lied.

by Anonymousreply 1911/01/2013

Judy's graphic show names more than once and where they're from. Marilyn has one graphic with name as they first stand at podium.

by Anonymousreply 2011/01/2013

Yes, I remember the guy who breathlessly informed Dataloungers that "I Won On Judge Judy!" The episode he described never materialized. As I recall, quite a few Dataloungers were eagerly anticipating the episode that turned out not to exist. Just another troll with a lot of time on his hands.

by Anonymousreply 2111/01/2013

and she works 5 days a month, and makes something like $13 million per year!

by Anonymousreply 2211/01/2013

Judge Marilyn was recently seen frolicking toplessly on a beach. She was subsequently stricken with painful bunions and is hobbling on city streets in a cast.

by Anonymousreply 2311/01/2013

Only white trash watches her mock trial crap. She should work for Fox News.

by Anonymousreply 2411/01/2013

[quote]She should work for Fox News.

She voted for Obama and supports gay marriage, so I don't think she would be a good fit with Fox.

by Anonymousreply 2511/01/2013

She's forgotten where she comes from. She was a working stiff, now she screams at people because they need they're $100 back.

by Anonymousreply 2611/01/2013

She is entertaining, but I would only want to appear before her if I had a slam dunk winning case, or something I was sure to lose. In the situation of a case I would lose, only because they pay the judgment. I think she is often unfair and always has her mind made up before she even hers testimony, which she has admitted to on occasion when someone actually changes her mind.

by Anonymousreply 2711/01/2013

need their $100 back...sorry

by Anonymousreply 2811/02/2013

I don't like how she's so vicious to people over petty amounts of money. Many people think it's a show set up to mock the underclass. I find it and her extremely unpleasant.

by Anonymousreply 2911/02/2013

take you hands outta your pocket!

uh! slams desk i'm speaking!

by Anonymousreply 3011/02/2013

r23, Marilyn presented her bunion to Dr. Oz this week.

by Anonymousreply 3111/02/2013

Judy sold her apartment at the Sherry Netherland Hotel for this Sutton Place flat, plus she has homes in Greewich, CT and an exclusive community in Florida. Anyone know if Judy owns in L.A. since she tapes there every few weeks?

by Anonymousreply 3211/02/2013

Why isn't it On Demand on Comcast.

by Anonymousreply 3311/02/2013

I ditto r29.

[quote]Anyone know if Judy owns in L.A. since she tapes there every few weeks?

I don't think she does. I read that she owns her own lear jet and flies to LA for the taping.

by Anonymousreply 3511/02/2013

Damn Straight OP

JUDY JUDY ROCKS. All the other court shows suck donkey balls.

by Anonymousreply 3611/02/2013

I got into watching her years ago when I was out of work. It was amusing and funny at times. But after a while, it seems like the same case over and over again. When you've seen one episode of Judge Judy, you've seen them all.

by Anonymousreply 3711/02/2013

There's no such word as tooken!

by Anonymousreply 3811/02/2013

I borrowed him the money.

by Anonymousreply 3911/02/2013

Judy Judy usually lets "tooken" go once, unless she really dislikes the person.

But, if said again, she just has to make the correction. It's in her DNA.

by Anonymousreply 4011/02/2013

Wanna see my jugs?

by Anonymousreply 4111/02/2013

R33 Non-network shows usually aren't available on demand, are they?

by Anonymousreply 4211/02/2013

Judy needs a slap in the face every time she says "I feel badly."

by Anonymousreply 4311/02/2013

This show is why I NEVER co-sign or put my name on any thing for anyone. Not even family.

by Anonymousreply 4411/02/2013

Judge Judy needs a severe on-air bitch slapping.

Now THAT would be must-see-TV!

by Anonymousreply 4511/02/2013

I hope you realize her rulings seldom have anything to do with the law. Civil law is about the rules of law and not about who is right or wrong.

by Anonymousreply 4611/02/2013

I like Judge Marilyn's show (People's Court) better

by Anonymousreply 4711/02/2013

I like Judge Alex cause I can imagine being behind the bench, out of sight, up in his robe sucking him off to help alleviate his boredom.
