Do you ever look around and just think, "Oh, shit?"
I am depressed about my finances.

How old are you, what do you do for a living, rent or own, and how did you get into this pickle?

33. Home owner. Drained savings to buy home, but it's in a good area. Stable. 100k in retirement, 40k in liquid. Reading about the future and feel screwed. I don't come from money.

Not sure why you are so depressed, you are miles ahead of most. Is it because you drained your savings? If you are like most people, you probably spend a lot of money on crap you really don't need. If so, try to cut back on that some, and either build up your savings again so you aren't so depressed, or save towards some type of reward for yourself.

OP, you're young and have a lot of time. If you can save like 30K a year you should be ok...

Diagnosis Murder, Murder She Wrote, or Matlock. Pick your poison. I just looked it up and I can't believe Diagnosis Murder was on for eight years.

OP, you're not worried about money, in fact, you are better off than most.
What you are afraid of is the shame of poverty. The shame of struggle.
If you would just let go of your feelings of shame that has carried over from some earlier trauma than you'll be A-Okay.

You are miles ahead of all those families living underneath the interstate bridge as you drive to work every day, OP. Stop crying. There is nothing for you to cry about you fucking wimp.
