Male Ballet Dancers Who Look Like They're Wearin' Nuthin At All, Nuthin At All, Nuthin At All!

First UP.

by Anonymousreply 9912/06/2013

by Anonymousreply 110/19/2013

Stupid sexy Flanders!

by Anonymousreply 210/19/2013

by Anonymousreply 310/19/2013

Front shots or it didn't happen.

by Anonymousreply 410/19/2013

That last ones are of Edward Watson of Royal Ballet. Is he straight? He was in New York at the Joyce performing in a ballet based on Kafka's Metamorphosis recently.

by Anonymousreply 510/19/2013

Nuthin' at all!

by Anonymousreply 610/19/2013

I've always loved this picture.

by Anonymousreply 710/20/2013

R6 is that a young nureyev?

by Anonymousreply 810/20/2013

Male dancers wear almost nosthing under their costume just a "Suspensorium".

by Anonymousreply 910/20/2013

R6, I saw that in person in a changing room in a clothing store in Greenwich Village in 1977.

by Anonymousreply 1010/20/2013

R6, He was popular at the baths!

by Anonymousreply 1110/20/2013

[all posts by tedious troll removed.]

by Anonymousreply 1210/20/2013

R6 R12 He is amazedick.

I'd've voted for him in the "50 Shades of Gay" poll.

by Anonymousreply 1310/20/2013

I thought he was uncircumcised, R6 R12. He looks prepuceless in that photo.

by Anonymousreply 1410/20/2013

R14. Rudolf Nureyev is uncircumcised. His foreskin is retracted to just below his corona ridge on his glans. But he is intact.

by Anonymousreply 1510/20/2013
corona ridge

Excellent new phrase (for me).

by Anonymousreply 1610/20/2013

R9 R16 ive seen the stephen petronius dancers wear no belt and yes one could see the coronal ridge very clearly. of course in the big city one has seen male dancers pirouette wearing nothing under their tutus,

by Anonymousreply 1710/20/2013

Nureyev's parents were Muslim Tatars from Bashkortostan so it's entirely possible he was circumcised.

by Anonymousreply 1810/20/2013
Male dancers wear almost nosthing under their costume just a "Suspensorium".

Oh, you mean a dance belt

by Anonymousreply 1910/20/2013

The CW had a reality show about a ballet company where all the handsome built male dancers were all straight with one nelly mo who seemed to cry in every episode.

by Anonymousreply 2010/20/2013

Boys who take up ballet, the ones 15 and under -- are any of them straight? I would imagine that even today it's hard to be a straight boy and take up such an activity, especially in the US. I wonder why they even do it to begin with. Maybe their parents are/were in the professions.

by Anonymousreply 2110/20/2013
Boys who take up ballet, the ones 15 and under -- are any of them straight?

Not when I get done with them.

by Anonymousreply 2210/20/2013

What about Karl Paquette from the POB? He was so amazing as Rothbart in Swan Lake with his hair slicked back...

by Anonymousreply 2310/20/2013

Jesus, r14, why so clinical? Just say his skin is retracted below his cock head. Glans? Who the fuck talks like this?

by Anonymousreply 2410/20/2013

Someone from "Rock the ballet" says that in a group of male dancers 50% are straight and 50% gay

by Anonymousreply 2510/21/2013

Is there a reason other than showing off their great asses that male ballet dancers tights fit like those in the pics?

Not complaining, just curious.

by Anonymousreply 2610/21/2013

Not to embarrass you, R24, but I didn't use the word "glans."

"Prepuce," OTOH, is a lovely word. Somehow "retracted below his cockhead" isn't nearly as much fun to say.

by Anonymousreply 2710/21/2013

Why is it called a dance belt when it's not a belt?

by Anonymousreply 2810/21/2013

Sorry, hon, I meant r15.

by Anonymousreply 2910/21/2013

These days it may even be 50/50 between straight and gay men in the NYC Ballet. I love that company and they have been performing incredibly well this past year.

That being said, there are some incredibly handsome dancers - Robert Fairchild (straight and engaged to lovely Tiler Peck) is my favorite.

Tyler Angle (see link) is handsome and very sexy. He is openly gay. Sorry but I cannot find any shots as revealing as the op's initial links.

I do think his less attractive older brother Jared is gay as well, but I have not heard anything.

by Anonymousreply 3010/21/2013

I am LOVING this thread!

by Anonymousreply 3110/21/2013

Marc Singer - 1976

by Anonymousreply 3210/21/2013

R14 and R15 are lesbians and don't want to utter the word PENIS.

by Anonymousreply 3310/21/2013

Geeez R18 What is wrong with his FEET?

by Anonymousreply 3410/21/2013
What is wrong with his FEET?

Dancers always have notoriously ugly feet.

by Anonymousreply 3510/21/2013

R33, the word PENIS isn't needed in R14.

by Anonymousreply 3610/21/2013

R32, Not a ballet dancer obviously. I worked on this production and saw him often. That picture is from ACT's Taming of the Shrew. Directed by that big queen Bill Ball.

by Anonymousreply 3710/21/2013

Marc Singer was one of my first guy crushes.

by Anonymousreply 3810/21/2013

r21 Why do you specify under 15?? Most of those in ballet have to start very young--like elementary school. So yes there are straight male ballet dancers under 15.

by Anonymousreply 3910/21/2013

How old was Billy Elliot when he started?

by Anonymousreply 4010/21/2013

Umm...Corona Ridge is a town north of Laramie, Wyoming, y'all.

by Anonymousreply 4110/21/2013

R34, Nureyev's feet were worse than most dancers'.

He kept dancing too long, and in his later years his feet had so many fractures, bone spurs, corns, arthritic spots, and other horrors that sometimes he rode a bike from his dressing room to the stage. Because it hurt to walk that far, but he'd still dance.

by Anonymousreply 4210/21/2013

More pics and ballet gossip please!

by Anonymousreply 4310/22/2013

Cape Prepuce is lovely this time of year.

by Anonymousreply 4410/22/2013

Yes, Jared Angle is also gay. I do prefer Tyler as a dancer.

Then there was Charles Askegaard who married that Sex and the City lady, only to cheat on her with another dancer. And then there is Andrew Veyette who finally married Megan Fairchild (sister of the aforementioned Robbie).

Over at ABT: Cory Stearns--straight. Daniil Simkin--straight. Herman Cornejo--straight.

Personally, I love Taylor Stanley. Definitely plays for the gays and ought to have a major career ahead . . .

by Anonymousreply 4510/22/2013

Careful, R44. Someone who has to look up the word "prepuce" will criticize you for using it [italic]because that's how stupid and nasty some people are[/italic].

by Anonymousreply 4610/22/2013

R45, so both Angle brothers are gay! I thought so.

Yes, I forgot about Taylor Stanley. Oh he definitely pings and I agree he has a major career ahead. He is very talented and I love seeing him dance; he is the only partner Ashley Bouder had who really worked well with her.

I used to think Joaquin DeLuz was gay but I think he is straight.

by Anonymousreply 4710/22/2013

Edward Watson is gay, R5. And that Metamorphosis was a preposterous waste of time.

by Anonymousreply 4810/22/2013

This pic is one of my favourites, a Ballerino from Italy:

by Anonymousreply 4910/22/2013

Roberto Bolle, NUDO!

by Anonymousreply 5010/22/2013

R49: Very sexy indeed. What's his name btw?

by Anonymousreply 5110/22/2013

Roberto Bolle says he's straight?! What a waste of man-meat!

by Anonymousreply 5210/22/2013

Is there a difference between a dance belt ad a jock strap ? Do actors wear them on Broadway under their clothes? Say it's someone like Norbert Leo Butz who has a couple of numbers requiring him to dance but to wear regular clothes in character like dressy trousers, would he have a dance belt on under that? Is it a regulation? Wouldn't a regular pair of briefs do the trick?

by Anonymousreply 5310/22/2013

dance belts look like briefs, don't they?

by Anonymousreply 5410/22/2013

If only there were a network of tubes . . .

That being said, with the one strap up the back, if you're not careful, you can rip hairs you didn't even know you had.

by Anonymousreply 5510/22/2013

Dance belts used to give me what looked like a hickey at the bottom of my back right over my spine. Damndest thing.

by Anonymousreply 5610/22/2013

Do not turn an artistic art form into pornography. Ballet dancers are trained dancers/athletes and we do not exist to satisfy your masturbatory fantasies.

by Anonymousreply 5710/22/2013

Very bendy.

by Anonymousreply 5810/22/2013

by Anonymousreply 5910/22/2013

The great Marc Singer.

by Anonymousreply 6010/22/2013

So at ABT, Vladimir Malakhov, Angel Corella, Marcello Gomes, David Hallberg, James Whiteside, and Blain Hoven are gay. Outside of the Angle brothers, who is gay at NYCB? Also, does anyone know why Roddy Doble was dropped by ABT over the summer and is now in Boston?

by Anonymousreply 6110/22/2013
Ballet dancers are trained dancers/athletes and we do not exist to satisfy your masturbatory fantasies.

If you're this full of yourself as a young man, how unbearable do you think you'll become once you are a washed-up, over-the-hill, former ballet dancer at age thirty?

by Anonymousreply 6210/22/2013

It is telling that although ballet dancers often have buff athletic bods, they are almost never viewed or cited as attractive, or even as role models of the male form. In contrast, athletes such as football players and hockey players are routinely exalted as attractive and manly because of their physiques.

by Anonymousreply 6310/22/2013

How many famous ballet dancers are there? It's not a mainstream activity, so they can't be compared to sportsmen in terms of "idolhood".

by Anonymousreply 6410/22/2013

Baryshnikov was hailed for his good looks as well of his dancing.

by Anonymousreply 6510/22/2013

R63 the last really famous one was considered attractive as r65 said.

by Anonymousreply 6610/22/2013

That was before my time, but I wonder if people thought of whoever he was as a "stud," a "hunk."

by Anonymousreply 6710/22/2013

There was an episode of Family Ties where Alex's girlfriend is ballet dancing and one of the guys was wearing a very visible dance belt.

Don't know how or why I remember that all these years later but that guy's ass was a beaut!

by Anonymousreply 6810/22/2013

Edward Villela, a straight dancer, was easy on the eyes.

by Anonymousreply 6910/22/2013
Do not turn an artistic art form into pornography. Ballet dancers are trained dancers/athletes and we do not exist to satisfy your masturbatory fantasies.

Datalounge would require a 72 pt hot pink sans serif font in order to properly convey the "MARY!" that this post deserves.

by Anonymousreply 7010/22/2013

Can you imagine how nice and ripe any of those tights are after they've been dancing for awhile?

by Anonymousreply 7110/22/2013

R61, Craig Hall, is a NYCB soloist and the only major African-American dancer in one of the major companies. He is gay; his wedding was featured in the Sunday NY Times a while back.

He is almost unbelievably sexy while dancing, but is now over 30 and for some reason has thus far never been promoted to principal by Peter Martins.

Craig's performance in AFTERNOON OF A FAUN a few years ago was almost an event, he was beyond spectacular (see linked pic). He is now in his early thirties, so I am not sure how much more time he has left.

I believe Adrian Danchig-Warren and Gonzolo Garcia are gay. They did a spread in Out Magazine a few years ago.

Soloist Sean Suozzi is openly gay.

by Anonymousreply 7210/23/2013

"Do not turn an artistic art form into pornography. Ballet dancers are trained dancers/athletes and we do not exist to satisfy your masturbatory fantasies."

OK, I love ballet and I actually agree with you 100%; that being said we have eyes and how can we not notice a good-looking man?

However when watching Balanchine or Robbins or Paul Taylor (or even Peter Martins' ballets, lol) it is a transcendent experience for me and many others. I for one can easily move beyond the "hotness factor"

Seriously, what bothers me more is ABT's turning their ballet dancers into performing endless jumps and pirouettes not for artistic purposes, but for the amusement of their Upper East Side audiences.

by Anonymousreply 7310/23/2013
Do not turn an artistic art form into pornography. Ballet dancers are trained dancers/athletes and we do not exist to satisfy your masturbatory fantasies.

Are you serious with this bullshit? People turn construction workers, football players, plumbers and priests into masturbatory fantasies. You precious dears can handle it. Get the fuck over yourself.

by Anonymousreply 7410/23/2013

What happened to that gay ballet dancer who did pron on the side?

by Anonymousreply 7510/23/2013

What's the deal with Ethan Steifel? Engaged to Gillian Murphy, but he pings to high heaven.

Someone must know something.

by Anonymousreply 7610/23/2013

Was this ass really just for the ladies?

by Anonymousreply 7710/23/2013

Is that the right link r77?

by Anonymousreply 7810/23/2013

[R51] Mick Zeni

by Anonymousreply 7910/23/2013

The dance belt must be all kinds of nasty when it gets peeled out their sweaty ass crack, especially if they took a dump prior. Ugh. I went with a dancer briefly, he'd come from class with his bag and I did not even want to know the condition of the gear inside.

by Anonymousreply 8010/23/2013

I used to work with 2 retired male dancers and both were straight. I asked one of them about the gay-straight ratio once and he estimated about 2/3 in the industry were gay.

He danced in a few different companies in Europe and had a lot of great stories - wish I could remember them all. He said Nureyev had a reputation as an "animal" when it came to sex. Baryshnikov was said to be the epitome of class.

by Anonymousreply 8110/23/2013

Nureyev looked dirty. People thought he was hot?

by Anonymousreply 8210/23/2013

Body, body!

by Anonymousreply 8310/23/2013

"Do not turn an artistic art form into pornography. Ballet dancers are trained dancers/athletes and we do not exist to satisfy your masturbatory fantasies."

Ballet was always meant to have an erotic charge from the very beginning. It is and was a way to admire the human form; it's inseparable from its element of eroticism.

And yeah. As another poster said above. There is no MARY! big enough for that post!

by Anonymousreply 8410/23/2013

"Marc Singer was one of my first guy crushes"

I recall him appearing on Merv Griffin's afternoon talk show and it was quite obvious that old Merv was smitten.

by Anonymousreply 8510/23/2013

R84, You're full of shit.

by Anonymousreply 8610/23/2013

Those are some hot asses. Only problem is they are all gurlll in the afterglow. Ruins it.

by Anonymousreply 8710/23/2013

Some time ago someone said they 69ed with Ethan Stiefel when he was away from NYC and wifey (probably when he was the head of some dancing school before moving to New Zealand).

by Anonymousreply 8810/24/2013
and we do not exist to satisfy your masturbatory fantasies

There seems to be some disagreement with that statement. To add to the list ...

Years and years ago, when Bill Maher still had his "Politically Incorrect" show, he did a week of shows in England.

I've forgotten how ballet became the topic, but Jonathan Ross said, "Let's face it. The only point of ballet is so that rich people can see men with enormous cocks wearing tights."

by Anonymousreply 8910/24/2013

Thanks R88! I assume the person was male?

by Anonymousreply 9010/25/2013

Watch me!

by Anonymousreply 9110/25/2013

Yes [R90], the poster was a guy.

by Anonymousreply 9210/26/2013

R57/R86 not only knows nothing about ballet history, her pinch-twatted sexophobia (Appreciating men's forms erotically on a gay site in "pornographic"? What a clueless and confused shithead.) shows she really doesn't belong here, or in any kind of theater.

Thank you for your sensible post, R84. "Mary" indeed. "Mary Maria Marie Molly Polly Mimi Moo-Moo Marypants," indeed.

by Anonymousreply 9310/26/2013

by Anonymousreply 9410/31/2013

David Hallberg and Chris Wheeldon made it to the Out 100.

by Anonymousreply 9511/21/2013

Love this thread!

by Anonymousreply 9612/04/2013

R52...I say I'm straight too!!

by Anonymousreply 9712/04/2013

If only they were masculine.

by Anonymousreply 9812/04/2013
