This is awesome:
The Venn Diagram of Irrational Nonsense

I agree with the placements of all in the overlapping sectors.

It's hilarious how scientology is smack dab in the middle :-)

Love it, and I agree with 95% of it. I'm the most logical, skeptical person I know, but even though I've never used either of them, I do believe acupuncture and chiropractic have their uses.

Overcomplicated and arbitrary placements.
"Unprovable" and "stealing" are the real lowdowns. A lot of thievery in the form of corporate medicine and scarcity economics falls into the unprovable category. To put a specific ideological label on the majority of believers might be "Social Darwinism" or political "reactionaryism." Nancy Reagan and her like would be home here.

R3 is hardly logical in the way she brags if she thinks she can quantify her rationalism with that unevidenced, data-free, emotionalized and bogus little "95%" she slipped into her turdlet of a post. Braying about her exceptions with acupuncture and chiropractic added to the fun.

Where are the tinhats?

No room for the caftans and earrings crowd?

Moon landing deniers are on there R6, but the others aren't because some conspiracies are REAL.
|by Anonymous||reply 8||10/20/2013|
R10 Tell that to the prick at R4.
|by Anonymous||reply 9||10/20/2013|
Not enough mention of 'accepted' religions like Christianity and Islam, which are just as much bollocks as everything else mentioned.
|by Anonymous||reply 10||10/20/2013|
WAY too complicated.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||10/20/2013|
The diagram is not only over-complicated, it's trivial as r12 notes. What's listed is mostly fringe stuff that has little effect on the world.
All religion and philosophy should be listed, as well as most law, economics, psychiatry and much of corporate medicine.
Bullshit is bullshit. No one needs to classify it---just call it out.
|by Anonymous||reply 12||10/20/2013|
No, it isn't. It's stupid and, as it notes, irrational.
