Forget glamour and wealth and ambition
I'll work for $10/hour, drive a Ford Escort, eat canned biscuits, wear JC Penney clothes, live in a Midwestern bungalow if it meant I could be with a quality partner for life.
I want to come home to him and my dog and a nice dinner. The key is finding someone who is equally low maintenance.

Are there such things as canned biscuits?
I think you will find your dream lover. I believe in you.

I completely agree with you, OP. I just think it's easier to find wealth and glamour than it is to find a nice guy. Because I'm 50, I've given up on all of it (wealth, glamour, finding love). I hope you don't end up like me.

I agree, fabulous is incredibly tiresome and stressing after a long work week
|by Anonymous||reply 3||10/12/2013|
Sounds perfect, OP. Good luck.
|by Anonymous||reply 4||10/12/2013|
You'd have an easier time finding glamour, wealth, and ambition, OP.

OP, I make over $100K and buy my clothes at JCP and drive a Hyundai. Some of us just don't care about superficial things.
|by Anonymous||reply 6||10/12/2013|
These days it takes 100k/year to have JCP clothes, a Hyundai, and a place to live. Here, anyway.

I'd give up all that and the partner for YOUTH. Old age is a mean bitch. It hurts.
|by Anonymous||reply 9||10/12/2013|
if you have a big cock I will take care of you.
|by Anonymous||reply 10||10/12/2013|
Just how bad is your dog, OP?
|by Anonymous||reply 11||10/12/2013|
How old are you, Pops at R9?
|by Anonymous||reply 12||10/12/2013|
Most people who say they want "low maintenance" don't actually have any idea how to spot such a person.
|by Anonymous||reply 13||10/12/2013|
OP, you've got your priorities straight. I figured it out before it was too late.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||10/12/2013|
I was with you up until Penny's.
|by Anonymous||reply 15||10/12/2013|
You sound a bit like a frau.
|by Anonymous||reply 16||10/12/2013|
I love you, OP.
But I'm holding out for it all.
Or at least a lot.
|by Anonymous||reply 17||10/12/2013|
OP it sounds like a good life, I hope you find it. I stopped by the pet store today to get some cat food and one of the local shelters had some dogs for adoption. A couple of guys were there looking at the dogs, they were so thrilled to be looking for a new pet together. They were both very low key, average looking guys. I was impressed with their ability to enjoy the simple pleasure of the experience.

People who use terms such as "quality partner" and "finding someone who is equally low maintenance" are too clueless and disoriented to sustain a good relationship with a decent person.
OP, get some therapy. Your pretensions are obviously a sign of serious confusion. You'll die alone if you don't get some help.

"I'll work for $10/hour, drive a Ford Escort, eat canned biscuits, wear JC Penney clothes, live in a Midwestern bungalow"
You've literally just described me. I mean, right down to the car, where I live and the amount I make an hour. Whoa.

It's a match made in heaven!!
|by Anonymous||reply 22||10/13/2013|
And now with the Affordable Care Act you'll both be able to live together even longer!
|by Anonymous||reply 23||10/13/2013|
Cross off the partner part and it sounds like heaven.
The idea of having to spend the rest of my life tied to some other person sounds like hell on earth.
Codependent, needy bitches, the lot of you!
|by Anonymous||reply 24||10/13/2013|
OP, how old are you? I'd marry you.
