JOHN PALERMO is the new Cheyenne! Hugh Jackman's ex-partner has major meltdown on Facebook!

It was a train wreck while it lasted. Hugh Jackman's former producing partner John Palermo (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) has taken down his incendiary Facebook page, which had Hollywood buzzing about its plentiful racist comments.

"I'm crazy about Julie Chen!!!" he wrote Sept. 12 after the Big Brother host discussed her early career eye surgery. "Now that her eyes are finally open, she should leave Monster Moonves."

The same day, regarding news that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West had moved into a Bel-Air house: "There goes the neighborhood!!! It looks like a Poor Persian Palace, where's Kris Jenner when you need her?! #MoneyCantBuyADumbNiggaClass."

And in response to an article about Anderson Cooper attending the opening of his boyfriend's gay bar, he simply typed: "#SmellsLikeLubeAndHIV."

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 110/09/2013

Lol love this guy!

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 310/09/2013
Surprisingly, he tells THR that his statements -- which were interspersed with bleeding-heart liberal postings and call-outs to great red-carpet style moments -- actually are meant to tweak Hollywood's own ingrained racism. "Maybe people [who take offense] will look in the mirror and say, ‘When was the last time I called Les Moonves and asked for an African-American to play opposite me?' "

MARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 410/09/2013

Hugh has bad taste in men!

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 510/09/2013

Based on those postings, which are great btw, I'm 100% sure he posts here anonymously. Or if he doesn't he'd fit right in.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 610/09/2013
"I stopped caring about what Hollywood thinks of me years ago," he said. "I've got nothing to lose, nothing to gain. I'm a bored dude, unemployed, sitting at home in the Valley. For me, some of the best ways to overcome serious issues is to laugh about them. Because then you truly understand where that ignorance is coming from."

Interesting. He's unemployed and living in the Valley now? I guess he's no longer affiliated with HJ.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 710/09/2013

Glad Hugh woke up to this sociopath/leech! Look what happened when he tried to hitch their "Seed"production company to another Hollywood parasite-Bob Lowry-you get an out of the gate bomb like "Viva Laughlin" that's probably why he singled out Moonves/CBS canceled that tripe after two airings.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 810/09/2013

What does Hugh have to say about this?

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 910/09/2013

"I never really knew John Palermo that well and by the way I really love hot heterosexual vaginal relations with a woman who is also my wife as well as my best friend."

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 1010/09/2013

He isn't making much sense.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 1110/09/2013

I never heard of this man, but he sounds like a nasty, opportunistic piece of work.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 1210/09/2013

It won't be long before he spouts off about the true nature of his relationship with Hugh - he's scorned.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 1310/09/2013

It sounds like a meth meltdown. I can't believe DL didn't find this earlier. The DL of old would have.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 1410/09/2013

The fact that HJ & him parted ways makes me think that HJ might even be hetero for real.

R16=Hugh Jackman

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 1610/09/2013

Heh. One of the sidebars links two Hugh Jackman stories. This is from a commenter, Hank. I don't know if the post was edited. There was nothing after "For example:"
For those of us who know (and despise) Palermo, it's pretty shocking that you would write this story but leave out his more incendiary posts. For example:

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 1710/09/2013

Oh Christ. Look, the "Hollywood Reporter" hid his relationship with Jackman for years at Jackman's urging, and when Jackman kicked him to the curb there was no article about what a disloyal shit Jackman is. Instead, they pick on this nobody. It's bullshit.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 1810/09/2013

R19, why on earth [italic]would[/italic] they post about about Jackman rather than picking on this shitstain? Relationships end all the time, but Hugh Jackman isn't the one who went online and made incendiary, racist posts, and then tried to defend them with some bullshit "social experiment" explanation.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 1910/09/2013

Jesus, what is wrong with these people? A little decorum and restraint wouldn't kill him. Not everything that comes into one's little birdbrain head needs to be blurted out to the world.

Palermo's tweet about Anderson Copper was particularly classless, and I'm nit trying to defend Anderson.

Sleep on it overnight before you send out bullshit douchebag nonsense.
Jesus, what is wrong with these people?

It's called meth, darling.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 2310/09/2013
Is Palermo Australian as well?

No. He was an aspiring actor hired to be Hugh's assistant on BOY FROM OZ, I believe. Yes, he was the boy hired to bring Mr. Jackman coffee.

A few months later, he was one of the most powerful producers in L.A.

How do such things happen?

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 2410/09/2013

It says he's originally from Beverly Hills.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 2510/09/2013

To quite honest,I doubt if he's even gay-seems like one of ruthless go-getters who surveyed the lay of the land(Hollyweird),saw that the best way to get-ahem-ahead is to suck and fuck his way in. Seems to have worked for awhile until his true colors came out!

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 2610/09/2013

I thought I read that he was a hairdresser before he became HJ's producing partner.

How many projects has Palermo produced (to completion)?

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 2710/09/2013

Whoa. Fucking With The Brand is one of the few recognizable sins in Hollywoodland and a particular no-no in Camp Jackman. Palermo must have run through his kiss-off money (meth) and needs another payday.

Jackman's sharpening his Wolverine claws (and his team's) to carve up this lippy little douchebag, even as we type.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 2810/09/2013

oh, dear. Maybe he and Cheyenne can start dating. They're both in Hollywood now. Cheyenne should take him to an AA meeting.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 2910/09/2013

Wasn't there a recent blind item about an ex-bf who was ready to blab about his former star lover?

But R29 is 100% correct.

We are not talking about flabby has-been Travolta - even if Hugh's films are not the biggest moneymakers, he still is a major name and he is by all accounts great to work with, so you don't screw with him without some repercussions.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 3010/09/2013

Sounds like he's off his meds (prescrip or not) and wants some attention. For some reason this reminds me of the Michael Richards ("Kramer") meltdown.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 3110/09/2013

I worked on the ill-fated Jackman movie Deception (it was called The Tourist during production). Palermo's behavior (he was a "producer" on it) was so repulsive. I always doubted Jackman ever had a physical relationship with Palermo because he wasn't attractive in any possible way. I guess he was a good go-fer/personal assistant but that's it. He made our skin crawl.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 3210/09/2013

Details please R33? What was so bad he made everyone's skin crawl?

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 3310/09/2013

The consistent thing that I keep reading about Jackman is that he is very nice and, as R31 said, great to work with. People who are nice often need someone who isn't around them to run interference and keep jackasses at bay. He was useful and it sounds like the power went to his head at some point.

I kind of wonder if Palermo will decompensate to the point that he starts aiming at Jackman, regardless of a confidentiality agreement.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 3410/09/2013

What did he mean about Athletic Social Club?

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 3710/09/2013

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 3910/09/2013

Does he know how to do massages?

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 4010/09/2013

R34, he was incredibly arrogant and obnoxious. And he wasn't at all physically attractive so he never got away with anything.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 4110/09/2013

I mean I don't think Palermo is bad-looking, but if you WERE going to start fucking someone and were brazen enough to exchange rings, wouldn't you pick someone hotter.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 5210/09/2013

No, girls, it is not possible that they never fucked.

Jesus fucking christ - when did the Datalounge hop on the short bus?

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 5310/09/2013

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 5710/09/2013

I mean, you're rising star Hugh Jackman. You are deeply closeted. Are you really going to make your random homosexual PA your RING-WEARING PRODUCING PARTNER? I mean, wouldn't that out you? It's so insane I almost wonder if it WASN'T platonic on some level.

And wouldn't said homosexual PA have spilled the beans once he got canned and/or addicted to meth? Once you're letting the n-word fly, why ain't you talking about Hugh's dick?

Gallo's Birdseye View Into Jackman's Private Life by WENN | 18 August 2004

Eccentric movie star VINCENT GALLO is urging neighbour HUGH JACKMAN to close his curtains because he's beginning to enjoy a bird's eye view of the Aussie actor's homelife.

The BUFFALO 66 star recently moved into a new New York apartment and discovered he can see right into the home Jackman shares with his wife DEBORRA-LEE FURNESS.

Although he's not a fan of gossip, Gallo admits there's many things he could share with the world about Jackman's private life - especially the state of his marriage.

He explains, "When you look out the window what I see is just unbelievable.

First of all him and his wife, I've never seen them even acknowledge (each other).

"It's as if one of them is invisible and the other one can't see them.

They're like the most disjointed couple I've ever seen. They should put their shades down more often or something."

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 6010/09/2013

He doesn't sound that fucked up...he sounds like everyone on Twitter.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 6110/09/2013

Not much material for a tell-all book.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 6210/09/2013

Who the fuck knows what went on between them?

Just seems strange....elevating a go for to a partner...getting and wearing matching rings....living on two floors, one for wife and kids, one for "partner"...

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 6310/09/2013

Why is this getting so much coverage? Like r19 says, he's a nobody. Someone is being served by this going public.

Still, too bad he probably signed an NDA because bitch sounds really to talk.

r42 - Well he's no stunning beauty, but he's not unattractive either. What specifically did he do that was obnoxious?

Variety CBS cancels ‘Viva Laughlin’

OCTOBER 22, 2007 | 11:45AM PT Network axes show after two episodes

Michael Schneider CBS is singing the blues over “Viva Laughlin,” which has been officially canceled after just two episodes.

Emmy winner “The Amazing Race” will take “Laughlin’s” place in the Sunday 8 p.m. slot – where the reality show resided last year – effective Nov. 4. A repeat “CSI” will run in the time period next week.

“Laughlin” becomes this season’s first scripted series casualty. Eye initially had high hopes for “Laughlin,” starting with the imprint of exec producer Hugh Jackman. Show was based on the hit BBC series “Viva Blackpool,” about a gambler who opens a casino but winds up in the middle of a murder investigation. The series repped part of the net’s attempt to create some buzz with shows that weren’t CBS’ normal fare. In this case, “Laughlin” included characters that sang (and sometime danced) along to hit songs to advance the plot.

But critics were generally unimpressed with “Laughlin,” and viewers mostly stayed away. Show tanked in its premiere Sunday night airing, averaging just a 1.2 rating and 3 share among adults 18-49. That came after a disappointing Thursday night bow in the post-”CSI” time slot.

In the end, even the net appeared to distance itself from the show, mostly stripping promos of any mention of the sing-along gimmick.

Jackman, John Palermo, Bob Lowry, Paul Telegdy and Peter Bowker exec produced “Viva Laughlin,” which came from BBC Worldwide Prods., Sony Pictures TV and CBS Paramount Network TV. Lloyd Owen, Madchen Amick, Carter Jenkins, D.B. Woodside and Eric Winter starred in the show.

Eye is still determining what to do with the remaining episodes of “Viva Laughlin,” such as streaming them online or placing them on a cable outlet.

Hugh Jackman and John Palermo Dissolve Seed Film Banner BY MIKE FLEMING JR | Wednesday August 18, 2010 @ 6:01pm PDT t EXCLUSIVE: Seed Productions partners Hugh Jackman and John Palermo are splitting up. Jackman has decided to focus on his acting career, while Palermo has made a new deal at 20th Century Fox, where Seed was based. The new deal will run through end of 2011. Allan Mandelbaum will stay with Palermo as development veep. Palermo was Jackman’s assistant for two years before they formed the company and set it at Fox four years ago. They produced X-Men: The Last Stand, Deception and X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The company is also producing Avon Man, the Kevin Lima-directed film that Jackman dropped out of early this week, and Drive, a drama that Odd Lot Entertainment is financing. Jackman once planned to star in that film, an adaptation of the James Sallis novel. Ryan Gosling is now starring as a Hollywood stunt driver who moonlights as a wheelman and discovers there is a contract on his head. Nicholas Winding Refn is directing. Production begins in September, with Palermo and Marc Platt producing. Palermo said he and Jackman will continue working together on projects they set up together. That includes the Wolverine sequel they are producing with Lauren Shuler Donner that is gearing up for an early 2011 production start in Japan, with the studio narrowing its list of directors. Chris McQuarrie wrote that screenplay. Jackman and Palermo also remain partners on Barnum, the original musical that Jenny Bick is writing for Fox 2000. Jackman will play P.T. Barnum in that musical, which they are producing with Laurence Mark. There is also Carousel, the remake of the 1956 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical that has a script by David McGee (Life of Pi), also at Fox 2000. Palermo said they will selectively use the Seed Productions banner on those projects they do in tandem, but he will hatch a new company name for projects going forward. He recently made a deal at Fox 2000 on the Catherine Fisher novel Incarceron. Adam Cooper and Bill Collage have been set to write the script. They are coming off writing a film about Moses for Peter Chernin Entertainment.

Seed Productions was a film production company associated with 20th Century Fox, started by Australian actors Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness, with producer and business partner John Palermo.

The company's headquarters were located at the 20th Century Fox lot at Century City, Los Angeles, California, however an Australian office was opened in 2006 at Fox Studios Australia in Sydney.[2]

Seed's first planned project was X-Men Origins: Wolverine, a film detailing the origins of the character Wolverine played by Jackman in the X-Men film series.[3] Wolverine was scheduled to begin filming just after completion of the third film in the series, X-Men: The Last Stand, but production delays delayed principal filming in New Zealand until January 18, 2008.[4] In the meantime, the company produced The List starring Ewan McGregor, three cricket documentaries starring Jackman's best friend Gus Worland, and the short-lived television series Viva Laughlin.

Here's a comment someone posted on the article linked in the original post

These racists comments only scratch the surface of what he's been posting to Facebook over the last couple years. I know Palermo and have been Facebook "friends" with him and have been tracking his racist comments about African Americans (Oprah has been a target) gays (Geffen was a target), Hugh Jackman and studio executives at Fox. He's a classic narcacist. He had the world in the palm of his hand being partner with Hugh and completely pissed it away because of his greed. Never root against people success, but when this guy had it he was intolerable

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 8010/10/2013

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 8110/10/2013

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 8210/10/2013

Too bad that commenter didn't post details about what he said about Jackman, r81. Who cares about this other petty shit? I want to know if he's dragging his ex.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 8310/10/2013

So he's down on his luck? Good! Fuck him.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 8410/10/2013

Hugh does seem quite jumpy lately....maybe he fears and a tell all.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 9710/10/2013

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 9810/10/2013

God,he reminds me so much of the sociopath my youngest brother was married to-spouting of quotes for books to sound well rounded and book smart-but if you listen closely, saying a whole lot of nothing! "A Jack Of All Trades,A Master Of None"! This is how a lowly assistant can go from getting coffee to being the right hand man of the boss in short order. I can't believe he lasted this long but obviously Hollywood is not exactly know for smart people, just devious ones.

What R54 said.

R16, what a pathetic conclusion. If it were a guy and a woman, you'd be saying it sure sounds like a breakup to you. You sound either straight or like you're a PR peon.

Someone's doing damage control on this thread... the insiders claiming Palermo was too ugly and assholic to have been Jackman's lover? Lame and laughable to DLers, but still an effort, and convincing to straights and non-DLers.

BTW, no doubt a combination of threat and bribery will keep Palermo from saying anything too factual. Likely to be lots of hinting but nothing provable; he doesn't want to be thrown off the gravy train.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 10310/12/2013

He got "fired" from Seed productions when he was caught using company money to pay his bills..... starting with his payments for his Porche.

R105, that's bullshit. He and Jackman were SEED Productions. Jackman dumped him after his behavior started getting 'eccentric'. It was a break-up. Because Jackman's the star, he has all the power.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 10910/12/2013

More new comments:
What's most shocking to me is that none of Palermo's mostly liberal Facebook friends ever called him out on his behavior. I only ever heard of one person going off on John and his posts, and then John promptly turned things around and claimed that HE was being bullied by that person. I'm actually not one of John's friends but heard about these posts constantly - and what is printed in this article does not come anywhere close to the worst things that John actually posted. He used "The N-Word" constantly -- and I'm talking about the old-school version. He also seemed to hate "Hollywood Jews" which apparently stemmed from his perceived mistreatment by David Geffen, and he also made veiled attacks against his former boss and partner, Hugh Jackman, who, by all accounts, is the nicest guy in the world and the only reason John had any power or position at all. John also frequently attacked Fox and its executives, the makers of the X-Men movies, several of which John received producer credit on and, presumably, a nice fat pay-check. Overall, this guy comes across as a deluded, self-important nit-wit who had a little power, thanks to Jackman, completely squandered it and treated people badly, and is now blaming everyone else for his current pathetic position in life. Pathetic!

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 11010/12/2013

I don't see how Jackman could be dickmatised by this guy. Was he just good at doing Jackman's dirty work?

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 11110/12/2013

This is interesting.
I have the uneasy feeling that this guy had something to do with the strange case of X-Men The Origins Wolverine leaked...do you remember the workprint mysteriously ended in the hands of Gilberto Sanchez? I think that this man indicted for illegally distributing pirated copies of the movie was only the last link in the chain. Maybe, the FBI should have done some "internal investigations".

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 11210/12/2013

R111...see, here's the thing. As soon as you see the bit about Jackman being 'the nicest guy in the world', it's clear what's going on. He dumped Palermo, and his people are trying to publicly demonize him as much as possible to make sure he's not believed if he outs Jackman. Palermo is a complete nobody...the fact that this gosssip is being trolled out to people suggests that Jackman is working behind the scenes. Particularly given the fact that he's doing all these interviews with his 'wife' about how much they 'love' each other, and how much the gay 'rumors' bug them. It's all a preemptive strike. He's afraid Palermo is going to out him, which seems to be a distinct possibility. But if they can paint him as some crazy racist kook, then maybe no one will believe him.

Of course, here's the real issue. Even by Jackman's account, Palermo was his best friend and a trusted partner. So if Palermo's a racist....

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 11310/12/2013

R114 nails it. Hugh has been talking incessantly about the missus for the last few months, even resorting to Will and Jada patented "we can't keep our hands off of each other after all these years" statements to the press. Something in the milk ain't clean. One has to wonder about his judgement as for even bringing a loose cannon like Palermo into his business, much less his bed.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 11410/12/2013

R115, BINGO.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 11510/12/2013

DEBORAH: Sydney has no Shubert Theater. You've never been to Sydney! That was a stupid lie, easy to expose, not worthy of you.

JOHN: I had to get in to meet Hugh! I had to say something, be somebody, make him like me!

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 11610/12/2013

This whole situation reminds me of Paul Barresi and John Travolta back in the 80s. One day, after they'd been fucking for a long time, Barresi showed up at the Bel Air Hotel and found Travolta with a new trainer. Travolta dismissed him. He gave him the leftover greeting basket from the hotel and a bottle of champagne. Enraged, Barresi sold his story to the Enquirer for $75K back in the early 90s. Travolta unleashed the Scientologist SAVAK Squad which did everything they could to ruin Barresi's life. Barresi collected money from JT and retracted. Since then Barresi's profited off every gay scandal in Hollywood.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 11710/12/2013

Bottom line: Hugh Jackman's taste in men is SHIT.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 11810/12/2013

{R114] Even by Jackman's account, Palermo was his best friend and a trusted partner. So if Palermo's a racist....

Aussies are big racists, not exactly the biggest secret in the world.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 11910/12/2013

R120 isn't one of Hugh's adopted kids mixed race? This makes the relationship with a racial slur shouting weirdo even more head scratching.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 12010/12/2013

Hugh's adopted son Oscar came to mind while reading the Michelle Pffeiffer thread--where her trusted manager insisted she adopt a mixed kid because it would be "good for business."

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 12110/12/2013

Awww--and they named him "Oscar."

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 12210/12/2013

Michelle Pfeiffer has made major personal life decisions for her career?! She's the poster child for quite the opposite, I think.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 12310/12/2013
. He dumped Palermo, and his people are trying to publicly demonize him as much as possible to make sure he's not believed if he outs Jackman.

Well, not hard to "demonize" someone who is posting racist shit on Facebook. Unless you're suggesting Jackman's PR is behind the Facebook stuff.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 12410/13/2013

Hugh Jackman cannot be gay.

Last night at the end of his one night only 45th birthday concert in Los Angeles, he brought his beloved wife on stage and they kissed.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 12510/13/2013

Deadline felates Hugh in this article from last night.

This is starting to sound very calculated.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 12610/13/2013

Thump

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 12710/13/2013

It's also interesting that deadline didn't cover Palermo's meltdown,r127. Watch for some nasty gossip to emerge about Hugh...

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 12810/13/2013

At this point I'm pretty sure HJ is straight.

r130 is a frau, a pathetic frau.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 13110/13/2013

Nope. I just don't think he's gay just because his wife is older & frau-looking. Pierce Brosnan also has an older fat wife. These two love their wives imho.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 13210/13/2013

R133, Pierce Brosnan hasn't had a John Palermo in his life for years.

They kiss like friends, R135.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 13610/13/2013

Don't forget that Boy George say Hugh kissing John Palermo. Also Hugh was outed by New York Time Out (?). If Palermo was such a great producer (and at such a young age!) you would think we would have seen him produce many more movies by now. Obviously, without his fuck buddy, John is a nobody.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 13710/13/2013

There were pics of a 'romantic' date between Hugh and his wife in Rome. Later, it was proved that they had cut off John Palermo from the pics.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 13810/13/2013

R125, you're not very strong in reading comprehension skills, are you?

The point is that Palermo is a nobody...so why the gossip AT ALL? Lots of people post offensive stuff all the time (My god, we're on DATALOUNGE for proof of that). Why are his posts such a big deal that they merit this kind of attention?

THAT is where Jackman's people are involved. Somebody's PR team is pushing this stuff about Palermo.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 13910/13/2013

Just like when I kissed Lisa Marie at the VMAs! It reeked of heterosexuality!

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 14110/13/2013

Pierce Brosnan's fat wife is not older. His older wife wasn't fat - far from it.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 14210/13/2013

It's not about his wife being older. The first time I saw her I said "Who's his lesbian friend?". She pings more than he does.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 14310/13/2013

I hate his closet and his latest PR-LookHowHet blitz but I love Hugh Jackman. Talented, attractive, amusing, and his kids may have been adopted as props but he appears to have a genuine relationship with them. I hope he can ride out the shitstorm of stories his tweaker ex will put on the market.

I wonder if he'll pay off the nasty little bitch again, or pay off/barter with the tabloids? Either way, good luck to him.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 14410/13/2013

Whatever the case may be one thing is certain:

Hugh Jackman has LOUSY taste in partners!

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 14510/13/2013

Hugh sure seems to favor those dark haired, heavy browed types doesn't he?

Jake G. seems EXACTLY his type.

How could Hugh have his black son around someone like this?

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 14710/14/2013

Oh for fucks sake, r140, you appear to be the one with reading comprehension issues. My comment wasn't disputing anything in your original post. I was simply pointing out that Palermo has made it easy for his reputation to be questioned by posting what he did on Facebook.

Simmer down.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 14810/14/2013

HJ, whatever one thinks of his closeted life, went through an ugly break-up.

Palermo squandered the "disappear" money. I doubt the National Enquirer would pay much for his "revelations" as Hugh's homosexuality is an open secret. He's almost at the Tom Cruise level.

Actually Tom quit suing, even before Katie escaped with her child, as he's become--and the gossip surrounding him--an embarrassing thing to the Co$.

(I do believe the rumor that she contacted Nicole, who helped her in her exit strategy.)

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 14910/14/2013

Are Hugh and Palermo still 'friends' as much as anyone can be in Hollyweird,r149,or has Hugh completely cut off all contact? No more 'commitment rings'?

When are you guys going to get it through your thick skulls that looks has nothing to do with how good you are in bed or/and how good of a frigging PA/Wife you are!!??

You sounds like naive children when you keep on posting like stupid children that JP isn't hot. DUH.

Look at all these CEO's and their dead eyed ruthless looking wives....do you think Alec Baldwin could not get someone hotter then some cheap two bit whore? What about Big from Sex in the City's baby mama who looks like a Thai sex worker??

I could go on and on and on! There is a reason Matt Damon married a hispanic old maid who was a waitress!

I know most of you were geeks etc but EVERYONE knows that a hot boyfriend/girlfriend brings drama.

Why battle it out with your partner for attention? When you can be put on a constant 100% pedestal by your homely partner who will NEVER leave you?

The issue with this scenario which is so typical that it's actually really boring is that, don't do it! Their ego always makes them take these bitchy mean PA personality type as partners. The person knows how to make themselves indispensable but it's always short lived because the 'star' does not really love that 'PA/Stalker' and eventually gets bored-starts to look elsewhere. The 'PA/Stalker' gets furious because they are already unstable and becomes to hold on even tighter to the star who feels even more overwhelmed pushing 'PA/Stalker' even further away, who then starts to abuse money/power but not in a way that suggests he/she is enjoying it but out of vengeance to hurt the star.

Star doesn't really care, which infuriates the PA/Stalker even more who then decides to 'talk' about said relationship with star-the only way he/she knows puts them(back)in control in the twisted relationship.

Palermo was a live in with Jackman and his wife until Debbie decided it was too much and wanted him gone. As much as people discount Deb she is the brains behind Hugh and she can be scary as balls.

It was the perfect set up for Hugh, the three were producing partners, John lived in the guest house of Hugh and Deb's estate. Seems as if John began to overstep his bounds in the relationship and started acting like he was the woman in charge of Hugh. Deb cut his balls off and shipped him to obscureville. He got a very nice golden parachute and was left with a rep as a producer and attached to some good projects but in the end it was obvious he was less than talented in the producing area than in the bedroom. So he did what any scorned gay lover would do threatened to out Hugh if he did not get paid.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 16010/14/2013

My god, Debbie Jackman must be INSATIABLE, living with two hunks like that, YUMMMERS

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 17010/15/2013

You have to wonder if Jackman has some very heavy mother issues after she left the brood in Australia and returned to their native England where she had a second family. I recall I read she had problems with depression, but leaving a family on the other can do a number on the kids. Even if it has to do with his father's absolutism and disregard for what may have been the best for the family in the long run.

So Hugh looks for a strong maternal figure even though there's no sexual attraction. Shock. I know.

Well, it's not as if Palermo has gone full-fledged "Andrew Cunanan". Well... at least not yet he hasn't. Time will tell.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 17410/15/2013

"I wonder why Jackman didn't try to find a more convincing beard."

He hooked up with her when he was young and her career was hotter than his, and she helped him get established.

So you well may ask why he didn't get a beard upgrade when he hit the big time, but the fact is she's better for his image than you'd think. Keeping the wife he had when he was a nobody makes him look like a relatable regular guy, and the silly fangirls can convince themselves that he's one those rare guys who values women for more than looks. And if she has the gonads to get rid of the Palermos when they get out of hand, she's still valuable to him and his team.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 17510/15/2013

Is he also Aussie? They love to make racist comments!

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 17610/15/2013

Jackman is a housewife favorite, his female fans love him to be with someone they can identify with.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 17710/15/2013

Jackman's wife always strikes me as lesbian, plus she gets to be the "wife" of an ALister along with all the benefits that kind of status gives her. They both get to benefit from this arrangement.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 17810/15/2013

What r176 said. It makes sense that they’re still together. Aside from the fact that marrying an older woman makes him attractive to the housewife contingent, I do think they’re genuinely fond of each other. And she’s clearly looking out for him and his brand, which is more than can be said for a lot of marriages.

Since sexual attraction isn’t an issue, if he’s going to be stuck with a beard, it may as well be one who he likes, is close to, and who has been loyal to him, including helping him out when she was in a better position.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 17910/15/2013

If she is a beard, how does it affect the children? Especially if Palermo actually was his boyfriend? That can't be healthy for the kids - they'd no doubt be instructed to lie to their friends, teachers etc.

They strike me as less Cole and Linda Porter and more Bruce Weber and Nan Bush.

The kids are all adopted and pretty much Deb's. Hugh is daddy when daddy is not working. Palermo was pretty much kept to the guest house and not part of the family. He was Mommy and Daddy's friend who lived in the guest house. Make no mistake Deb has crafted Hugh Jackman. She is responsible for every step of his career and success.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 18410/15/2013

The Deb-Hugh marriage is very similar to the Sue Carol-Alan Ladd marriage.

One time actress, married a younger actor whose career was on the rise, let herself get fat and then spent her time managing his career.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 18510/15/2013

You are all talking out of your asses about Hugh's and Deb's relationship. Clearly no one here knows them.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 18710/15/2013

I'm not one of those "prove it" trolls - but you really have to speak of them with greater specificity if you know what their deal is. I know people who were involved with their child care who said Hugh was quite a hands on Dad.

Palermo is/was clearly a sociopath of some sort and I'm sure he talked himself into a position of some power and kept Hugh isolated. I've seen this happen before - and the celeb is too good natured to see that the assistant is a psycho - which people on the outside can see, If Deb is so smart - how did the Hugh/John thing get to be so public - with rings and all that? That was bizarre to me.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 18810/15/2013

He did not isolate Hugh from Deb, she accepted him. Why? Because you don't have to worry about some random spilling the beans. As long as he played by the rules he was fine. It was when he thought he was Mrs. Hugh Jackman that Deb cut that shit out.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 19310/15/2013

My friend used to work at this place called "Broadway Babies" that was a song and dance day care/camp for kids and one of the kids in his class was Hugh Jackman's son - and Hugh would drop off/pick up the kid daily and come to all the little "performances" that the group had. He rarely saw Deb over the course of two summers. My friend is a big Broadway queen, as you would imagine, and he was pretty dazzled by Hugh's looks and charisma and said he was incredibly nice. Never saw Palermo. I have no doubt things were going on - I just want to seperate people who know things and have seen things from the speculation and people repeating tabloid shit which is so often twisted or just wrong.

Aussies get away with their racism, because they are only of marginal interest when it comes to world politics. Nobody is really interested in what they are doing, because there isn't much going on in Aussieland anyway. Lots of digs against foreigners unfortunately, sometimes even violent incidents. Usually played down by the press. Australia just voted for one of the most conservative bigots in history! I wonder how Jackman's opinion is on this. Did you ever stop to read upthread that Palermo is Beverly Hills born and bred, R201? We suppose not, and lots of other things...

You sound a bit unhinged.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 20510/23/2013

Hugh is still with this guy supposedly. Not surprising since Rupert Murdoch's slanted racist news corp doesn't bother Hugh a bit. I just think John and Hugh stopped appearing together publicly because of the speculation. Anyway Hugh is a liar with some gross friends so nothing should come as a surprise.

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 20701/29/2014

Just because Deb and the kids lived in an apartment on one floor of a building while Hugh and John lived in an apartment on another floor, is no reason to think there was any romance involved. Don't all Broadway stars live with their PA?

by Simon Halls's Bag of Sicilian Orangesreply 20801/29/2014

Palermo never had sex with Jackman. He only led people to believe that, for obvious reasons. He was like the show biz equivalent of the Jonah Hill character in The Wolf Of Wall Street. He selected hot dudes for Jackman.

Speaking as an Aussie, the only place I see racism in my day to day life is here at DL - AKA KKK Central as someone mentioned. BTW, Mel Gibson is American, not Australian. He spent his teenage years here, went to NIDA, did a couple of films and then went to Hollywood.

This Palermo guy sounds appalling. It is hard to understand how HJ would become so close to such a person. I've never heard anyone say anything negative about HJ (apart from the closet/living a lie thing). He probably is as nice and as decent a person as he seems. How could he close to this guy??

Have you ever been to Australia or know any Australians? I thought not. Here's a sample size of one for you:

- I loathe racism / I don't think JP's racist FB comments are funny - I am interested in world affairs - and that includes all world affairs - not just the US-centre-of-the-universe world affairs

There you go. On the basis of the above 100% of Australians aren't racist and they all are fascinated by world affairs.
Palermo never had sex with Jackman. He only led people to believe that, for obvious reasons.

Huh?? Hugh is the one who flaunted John (as much as he could without being so obvious even his clueless fans caught on), even singled him out & thanked him at an award show and went on vacation with him. He wanted him around.

R214 I believe Ted Casablanca said so back in the fall.

Bitter bitter bitter. He can't go after Hugh so he's going after Hollywood.

I read that elsewhere, too.

Hugh and John were boyfriends. Hugh changed his mind. John is not a bad person, he is an honest person that is outspoken. The only think he posted that I was put back by was a comment about Jewish people and that they control Hollywood and are blood sucking vampires. I do not agree with this, but he literally deleted his profile like 2 days after that post. HE is a good guy. People are allowed to get pissed off and articulate their feelings.
