graying hair

I was recently in China, and one of our tour guides recommended something to slow down or stop the graying of your hair: after cooking rice, take the white rice water and keep it for 4-5 days. Then use it as a shampoo.

Has anyone done this? Does it work? I've tried it once, but I won't notice results for years, so not sure if it's worth the trouble.

What idiocy!

The cause of gray hair is a build-up of hydrogen peroxide at the hair follicle. An enzyme breaks it down in younger people but the enzyme, catalase, is reduced as people age.

Using rice water as a shampoo is common in many Asian countries. Like with all shampoos it's merits claimed are as multifarious. Except its claimed over many generations than any bottled shampoo you pck up in a corner store.

Don't forget to mix in some shark fin and rhino horn. That is very important.

Our chinese guide told us, the solution to being uncomfortable as a bottom was to keep newly baked potatoes in our undershorts to relax our anal muscles. Needless to say, our guide was unfamiliar with our love of baked potato parties.
