Is there anything gayer and more beautiful?

A duet with Liza and Lorna.

Yes, I've been around for awhile, but I haven't started hissing yet, bitches.

This is why I love DL. Thanks, OP.

If you were really old, you'd claim to be 39, like Jack Benny.

The words "Lorna" & "beautiful" should never be linked.

I think I saw this watching the Tony awards. I am struck by how both sister's physicality is so much like their mothers.

Puh. Liza looks just like her Daddy, poor thing.

[R6] Really, physical mannerism and looking like her father are not the same thing you dimwit PUH

One of the gayest moments in the gayest of all award shows.

Loved it, but that typo in the YouTube title did satisfy that dark part of me that gets fed on this board...

Although obviously their sound on the big belted notes is reminiscent of Judy's during her later years, I was surprisingly most struck with the uncanny sound resemblance on Lorna's quiet, high, head-voiced "Nothing can harm you" and "No one can hurt you" at 4:50, which to me sounds a lot like how Judy used to sing ballads during her young MGM days.

Lorna looks great as a blonde.

Thanks.

I am an early-riser. I got up and re-watched the video I posted above. It's like a magnet for me lately. It's just so nice to see both of Judy Garland's daughters perform together.

I know that they have not always been close. Lorna has always seemed to have blamed those times on Liza's bouts of alcoholism.

Does anyone think that Lorna had her own addiction issues? I know that she is very active in charities which combat addiction.

Lorna hasn't had the career Liza has had, but she can still sing, unlike Ms. Minnelli.

Why did Lorna not have a career as great as Liza's? She was certainly talented enough, even if her voice did not always seem quite as strong and booming as Liza's (which mimicked her mother's later years). At the same time, her voice did indeed capture her mother's softer phrasings in many instances. Perhaps the two sisters were at their best when they were together.

What are your opinions?

I can practically hear the caftans rustling and the earrings clinking...

For R15: go to your "Young Republicans Club" meeting and let them think that you are a 'man's man'. They all are when the lights are off and the women are away at their sisters'.

Lorna recounts how this performance came about in this long interview she recently did and also talks a lot about Judy.

Lorna is very sexy. Liza always had the goofy, high school musical theatre dorky persona going on, whereas Lorna always exuded classy sex appeal.
