The Fugees: None of them were ever this good again

Listening to the Fugees' The Score for the first time in years. What a great record, from front to back. It's hard to believe how quickly Wyclef (and, soon after, Lauryn) ran out of ideas after this.

And their best song wasn't even theirs. It was Roberta Flack's.

Wyclef is a blowhard but had some success as a writer and producer. Lauren really went off the rails mentally but had the potential to have a huge, long career. Sad.

Wyclef first solo album 'Two Sides To a Book' was really good. He's very creative with a world music vibe. Lauryn went of the rails after the critical and commercial success of 'Miseducation', but 'The Score' is probably the best album in hip-hop history.

Wyclef was the creative force behind The Score. And he wrote and produced some good songs for other artistes like this Whitney Houston classic.

Too many DJs, not enough mics.

That's not real music!
