Blood pressure - 80/58.

This is my mid-30's female cousin.

Not good, huh?

I thought people who maintained a low blood pressure and body temp had greater longevity overall

I think its time for a visit to the ER

That is "I'm-going-to-pass-out" low.....

by Anonymousreply 309/22/2013

Was that a one-time reading, or is it always that low?

by Anonymousreply 409/22/2013

Mine is 139/73

by Anonymousreply 509/22/2013

Mine has always been 90/70; that's normal for me. The only time my blood pressure went up to "normal" (120/80) was when I was waaaay overweight.

Everybody's different, OP -- in spite of what the doctors say.

I'm always hovering around 120 over 80 and they tell me that's not bad.

R4 - I don't know.

She could be having an episode of low blood pressure brought on by mild dehydration (can happen if you have spent time in the sun, or been in a hot tub, etc). If she is not having symptoms (headache, nausea, dizziness, fainting, shallow breathing) she most likely is fine. She may want to recheck her BP at various times in the day just to confirm what her average reading is.
