The bride is quite lovely, too.
Prince Felix of Luxembourg (and of the BDF) gets married

They're both good looking but she looks older than him.
|by Anonymous||reply 1||09/21/2013|
Please, R1: "than he." If you're referring to royalty and saying a bride looks older than the groom, you could at least use correct English.
|by Anonymous||reply 2||09/21/2013|
He's aight, but he's no piece of ass like that Swedish prince dude.
|by Anonymous||reply 3||09/21/2013|
Well he lucked out in the gene department. The rest of the royals do show how centuries of incest will eventually rise to the surface.
|by Anonymous||reply 4||09/21/2013|
Why does it all look like a 70's movie of the week version of a royal wedding?
|by Anonymous||reply 5||09/21/2013|
who made the gown? His brother's wife wore Elie Saab last year.

I think it's the makeup. It's a little excessive or too harsh for the event or the lighting. I don't know know much about makeup, but it's the sort of I'd expect to see in the evening.
|by Anonymous||reply 7||09/21/2013|
Her gown, veil and tiara are gorgeous.
|by Anonymous||reply 8||09/21/2013|
Yes, Elie Saab:
[quote]The new princess – who spent part of her youth in Atlanta – wore an ivory silk Elie Saab gown embroidered with Chantilly lace floral motifs and a 10-foot-long train, Hello magazine reports.
She's a doctoral candidate.
|by Anonymous||reply 9||09/21/2013|
Wow...he really IS good-looking.
|by Anonymous||reply 10||09/21/2013|
MY GOD! He married his mother.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||09/21/2013|
What are you talking about R11? The bride is beautiful and I think they look about the same age. With the exception of the bride and groom, I can't get over how poorly dressed everyone is.
|by Anonymous||reply 12||09/21/2013|
Do you need glasses? She looks a lot older than he does.
|by Anonymous||reply 13||09/21/2013|
Get a haircut, you hippie on the right!
|by Anonymous||reply 14||09/21/2013|
No she doesn't, idiot.
|by Anonymous||reply 15||09/21/2013|
I *LOVE* Pierre Casiraghi's (the nephew of Prince Albert of Monaco) girlfriend's minimalist hat.
|by Anonymous||reply 16||09/21/2013|
I saw and liked it too r16. Beatrice Borromeo. Very different style-wise from his brother's new wife Tatiana, who leans heavily toward the Missoni-macrame-hippie aesthetic.
|by Anonymous||reply 17||09/21/2013|
I love what he's wearing. I wish I had one and somewhere to wear it.
|by Anonymous||reply 18||09/21/2013|
Oh my goodness, Pierre Casiraghi is FIIIIIIINE! I want to bend him over a pickle barrel and stuff my herring loaf deep inside him. Woof!
|by Anonymous||reply 19||09/21/2013|
R1 beat me to it.
|by Anonymous||reply 20||09/21/2013|
OP clearly has no clue as to what constitutes "BDF".
|by Anonymous||reply 21||09/21/2013|
What is it with all of the different ties in the photos? KMart have a sale or something?
|by Anonymous||reply 22||09/21/2013|
That one petty royal with the wonky wall eyes had me wondering about his pedigree.
|by Anonymous||reply 23||09/22/2013|
She should have used his makeup artist. She looks Kardashianesque.
|by Anonymous||reply 24||09/22/2013|
Clearly, Propecia has yet to reach Luxembourg.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||09/22/2013|
So glad that the hideously ugly hat trend has not caught on in the U.S. What a waste of money.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||09/22/2013|
Pierre Casiraghi got sick with the uglies.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||09/22/2013|
Carl Philip of Sweden remains the hottest royal in Europe.
|by Anonymous||reply 28||09/22/2013|
Felix's older brother, Guillaume, was married last year, I remember. Guillaume and Felix resemble each other strongly.
|by Anonymous||reply 29||09/22/2013|
Looking at this thread made me realize that Europe's royal families are a pretty good-looking group...except for the British royal family!
|by Anonymous||reply 30||09/24/2013|
Luxembourg isn't very large or populous, yet it seems like they have an excess of royalty. Is EVERYONE in Luxembourg a royal? Just how many princes,princesses,grand dukes and grand duchesses ARE there ?
|by Anonymous||reply 31||09/24/2013|
I wish we saw more wedding gowns like this in USA: I am sick to death of being subjected to back-fat of the suburban brides who insist in wearing that strapless dress that is about 10 years overdue for being banned
|by Anonymous||reply 32||09/24/2013|
r31 in certain countries, such as Luxembourg, they haven't gotten around to limiting royal rank/titles to only a certain number of generations beyond the monarch as they have in the UK and Scandinavia. I think if a Prince of Luxembourg has children, they are all princes and princesses and are given HRH rank, no matter how far descended from their monarchical ancestor.
So there are a ton of Lux royals running around, same with Lichtenstein and the German Archdukes; there's no limitation on generational royal rank. In the UK for example, royal rank is limited to only the children and male-descended grandchildren of the monarch and the grandchildren of the heir.

Then how did Beatrice & Eugenie become HRH? Their granny is THEE QUEEN, but pater is HRH Prince Andrew The Duke Of York. He's not the heir.

He obviously hangs to the left and should make her VERY happy.
|by Anonymous||reply 36||09/24/2013|
Sorry r34 I wasn't very clear: "male-descended grandchildren" meant children of the monarch's sons, such as Bea and Eug. Perhaps awkward wording there.
Yeah there are a TON of Austrian Archdukes and Archduchesses. And they keep marrying and reproducing and making more of them endlessly.
|by Anonymous||reply 37||09/24/2013|
The bride's dress is beautiful. I don't care at all for the Pepto-Bismal pink thing that the Grand Duchess Maria Teresa is wearing.
|by Anonymous||reply 38||09/24/2013|
I hang front and centre.
|by Anonymous||reply 39||09/24/2013|
A bump for Pierre I love the little inset of Prince Albert.
