Halfway to an EGOT, fuckers!!

by Anonymousreply 209/15/2013

I can't believe Melissa joins AnnE as an E_O_!

by Anonymousreply 309/15/2013

Tracy E. Bregman (Y&R) BEAT Melissa the first time she was up for an Emmy.

by Anonymousreply 409/15/2013

Dan Bucatinsky has won guest actor in a drama series, as James Novack, for ABC's [italic]Scandal[/italic].

by Anonymousreply 509/15/2013

I have an E_O and a vespa.

by Anonymousreply 609/15/2013

Daytime Emmy R4. Only counts as a real Emmy for Susan Lucci.

by Anonymousreply 709/15/2013

R3 - fucking believe it!

by Anonymousreply 809/15/2013

R7 tell that to Whoopi Goldberg who was able to EGOT with her Daytime Emmy

by Anonymousreply 909/15/2013

Hurray for (openly gay) Dan Bucatinsky!

by Anonymousreply 1009/15/2013

[italic]Banshee[/italic] won an Emmy. Don't know the category. But the lead actor has a hot ass. So, congratulations!

by Anonymousreply 1109/15/2013

Lily Tomlin, as narrator, has won an Emmy for voice-over performance for HBO's [italic]An Apology to Elephants[/italic]. It's her first [italic]performance[/italic] Emmy. Her others came in categories like writing.

by Anonymousreply 1209/15/2013

HBO's [italic]Behind the Candelabra[/italic] has gone 8-for-8 in the creative categories. It hasn't lost a single category for which it has been nominated. Just announced: It has won for costume design.

The following link may work. If it does, "refresh."

by Anonymousreply 1409/15/2013

Here.....

by Anonymousreply 1509/15/2013

I really hope Dame Diana Rigg wins best Guest Actress in a Drama Series for her superb work in Game of Thrones.

by Anonymousreply 1609/15/2013

Dan Bucatinsky is the guy from "ALL Over The Guy"

Damn! Richard Ruccolo was so hot in that film.

Little trivia:

The tracks from the film were from a band called Kara's Flowers which later became "Maroon 5"

by Anonymousreply 1709/15/2013

According to my emmy book lily won her 7th tonight. Most have been in writing categories. But she did win as star of her variety show in early 70s.

by Anonymousreply 1809/15/2013

Guest actor in a comedy series goes to Bob Newhart wins for CBS's [italic]The Big Bang Theory[/italic].

It's his first Emmy!

by Anonymousreply 1909/15/2013

Guest actress in a comedy series goes to Carrie Preston in CBS's [italic]The Good Wife[/italic].

by Anonymousreply 2009/15/2013

Carrie Preston is married to Michael Emerson, the 2001 (ABC's [italic]The Practice[/italic]) and 2009 (ABC's [italic]Lost[/italic]) Emmy winner who is now on CBS's [italic]Person of Interest[/italic].

by Anonymousreply 2109/15/2013

All four of the 2012-2013 guest-acting Emmy winners, in comedy and drama, are first-time winners!

Recap:

Guest Actor (Comedy): Bob Newhart, [italic]The Big Bang Theory[/italic] (CBS)

Guest Actress (Comedy): Melissa Leo, [italic]Louie[/italic] (FX)

Guest Actor (Drama): Dan Bucatinsky, [italic]Scandal[/italic] (ABC)

Guest Actress (Drama): Carrie Preston, [italic]The Good Wife[/italic] (CBS)

by Anonymousreply 2209/15/2013

Michael Emerson is straight?!? Wow, I'd just assumed...

by Anonymousreply 2309/15/2013

r20, that doesn't make sense. The Good Wife is not a comedy series and it's already been noted that Melissa Leo won that award for her guest stint in Louie.

by Anonymousreply 2409/15/2013

R23, agree! I saw him on the road, twice, in the Oscar Wilde; I just assumed. And - in anything he's in - that VOICE! gay voice for days. Perhaps they're an "arrangement"...Both SUPERB actors, at any rate!

by Anonymousreply 2509/15/2013

R24,

It was a mistake in copy and past (and my revisions in between and not being careful enough).

I was trying to get it posted quickly.

Sorry.

by Anonymousreply 2609/15/2013

Okay so they made a typo the good wife is obviously a drama.

by Anonymousreply 2709/15/2013

I knew Melissa Leo was winning the Emmy the moment I saw that episode.

by Anonymousreply 2809/15/2013

So happy about Carrie Preston. She is fantastic as Elspeth Tascioni. Love her.

by Anonymousreply 2909/15/2013

I love Carrie Preston in The Good Wife but her character is comedic. I don't recall any dramatic scenes with her. Diana Rigg was more deserving.

by Anonymousreply 3009/15/2013

R27,

That was my fault. No one else's. My copying was of text I was keying in. I was moving a little too fast and didn't carefully look it over before posting. Sorry about that.

by Anonymousreply 3109/15/2013

No problem r31. I'm just worried for my show Game of Thrones. I hope the Emmys can get over its ignorant bias of genre television and recognize GoT at the main ceremony for the phenomenal show it is, unlike anything that's been on TV before.

by Anonymousreply 3209/15/2013

Your kidding.

DL is covering the Creative Emmys now?

What's next, Obie awards?

by Anonymousreply 3309/15/2013

American Horror Story hadn't any nominations?

by Anonymousreply 3409/15/2013

American Horror Story has more nominations than any show I think. It won something tonight.

by Anonymousreply 3509/15/2013

Your kidding, R33?

by Anonymousreply 3609/15/2013

r33 is so above it all

by Anonymousreply 3709/15/2013

Did Temple Grandin win again?

by Anonymousreply 3809/15/2013

R34, R35, "American Horror Story" won for Sound Editing. IMO, it should've also won for Makeup, but it got beat by critical darling, "Behind the Candlelabra." (Liberace over Pepper? Come on!). Expect Candlelabra to win more at next week's Primetime Emmys.

by Anonymousreply 3909/16/2013

Michael Douglas for sure should get his acceptance speech ready. Not that he's the most deserving, but he's a Hollywood favorite, divorce and throat cancer and sex addiction aside...

by Anonymousreply 4009/16/2013

They aired tonight on FXX.

by Anonymousreply 4109/21/2013

on time Warner what channel number is FXX in NYC and the boroughs

by Anonymousreply 4209/21/2013

bump

by Anonymousreply 4309/22/2013

bump

by Anonymousreply 4409/22/2013

R28 - Fucking A!

by Anonymousreply 4509/22/2013

This year's Creative Arts Emmys are going on right now. The Guest Acting awards for drama have been awarded, but no word yet on whether Laverne Cox will become the first trans acting winner.

Winner list at link.

by Anonymousreply 4608/16/2014

Hopefully Uzo wins over Laverne.
