What If Discussion About Anything Having To Do With The 1980s Was Banned On DL?

DL would average five threads a month.

by Anonymousreply 1509/10/2013

My career would no longer be discussed.

by Anonymousreply 109/09/2013

90% of DL = Golden Girls threads.

by Anonymousreply 209/09/2013

Already another 80s-related thread on Page 1. lmao. Jesus.

by Anonymousreply 309/09/2013

Deborah Shelton? Man, was I HOT for Deborah Shelton! I jerked off to Deborah Shelton!

by Anonymousreply 409/09/2013

I think most DLers look fondly upon the '80s, because that's the decade when they retired.

by Anonymousreply 509/09/2013

You mean like this one? What would the young fags have to complain about?

by Anonymousreply 609/09/2013

This has NEVER been said before. What a fresh perspective.

by Anonymousreply 709/10/2013

Ain't that the truth.

There are a lot of bugs caught forever in the amber of the 1980s.

by Anonymousreply 809/10/2013

Ironically, the 80s were the worst era for gays in countries like the US, not to mention the rise of conservatism, the Christian Right, and most of the problems we have today stem from that era. There is next to nothing to like about that era. It was disastrous.

R1 here's a little known fact

Madonna actually sold more albums in the '90's than in the '80's in the US and worldwide

According to Billboard she sold 28 million albums in the US ib the '80's and in the '80's 29 million US albums.

Worldwide she sold about 81 million albums in the '80'S, in the '90's she sold about 93 million worldwide

She'll always be more linked to the '80's because her cultural influence was so huge that decade like Elvis will always be linked to the '50's

Even her string of hits were identical each decade.

In the '80's she had 17 top 10 hits, while in the '90's she had 15 top 10 hits

I think aside from the Ray of Light album most of her '80's stuff is better remembered

by Anonymousreply 1009/10/2013

I think "Vogue" is her most remembered song ever, r10, and that was in 1990. Begone, peasant!

BTW, why are you only looking at America?

Oh, dear.

by Anonymousreply 1209/10/2013

"Oh, dear" what, r12?

by Anonymousreply 1309/10/2013

To OP, with love.

When Val Kilmer was young and beautiful. Deborah Foreman, too.
