I just watched a bunch of Hitchcock movies on TCM.

With several of them (The Birds, Rope and Shadow of a Doubt)they have become almost like comfort food. This is especially true of The Birds. It's like running into an old friend. This is true of other kinds of movies too. Dinner at Eight, Walking and Talking, Carrie...the list is long. Any movies you feel the same about?

You should also check Hitchock's earlier British movies, like The Lady Vanishes, The Secret Agent and 39 Steps. They're also brilliant, but much more comic and lighter in tone.
