No way can that cockney slag afford to eat at The Ivy.

by Anonymousreply 609/04/2013

R2? I've been to dinner parties... cameras weren't present to film it and broadcast it for an audience.

Is this reality show. What's the point of it? Do these people know each other? Is it a game show?

I mean really, you couldn't understand what I meant?

by Anonymousreply 709/04/2013

How dare he throw such a fit at that elegant "candlelit Supper"

by Anonymousreply 809/04/2013

R7 this is a competition called 'Come Dine With Me' Five strangers meet, and every night each one throws a dinner party. At the end of each meal, they secretly score the party from 1 to 10.

On the last night the winner is revealed.

by Anonymousreply 909/04/2013

Thank you, R9.

by Anonymousreply 1009/04/2013

R1 & R7 would you ever appear as a contestant on the American version. They are casting the show now.

by Anonymousreply 1109/04/2013

How utterly vapid.

by Anonymousreply 1209/04/2013

That hostess totally seemed like a glimpse of Gloria Upson in late middle-age.

by Anonymousreply 1309/05/2013

by Anonymousreply 1409/05/2013

by Anonymousreply 1509/06/2013

The whole dinner party made me want to puke!

The company was horrid, the food looked disgusting, and the conversation was atrocious!!

No wonder the blonde went to the loo to puke. I would have too!!

by Anonymousreply 2412/25/2014

The blond later committed suicide

by Anonymousreply 2512/25/2014

Was he mad that they started calling him "Nigella"?

by Anonymousreply 2612/25/2014

I knew as soon as I read the OP that it would be from Come Dine With Me. By coincidence I was reading something online recently where a former contestant had written an expose about how the production try to manipulate the situation (e.g. by forcing delays so the dinner party doesn't start till midnight to ensure people will be drunk, taking them aside to claim the others had said nasty things about them) to make them fight on camera.
