Julie Harris dies at 87

Julie Harris, one of Broadway's most honored performers, whose roles ranged from the flamboyant Sally Bowles in "I Am a Camera" to the reclusive Emily Dickinson in "The Belle of Amherst," died Saturday. She was 87.

A great actress.

She was up there in age but still sad news, like Eydie Gorme a couple of weeks ago.

Loved her in Airplane!

We've heard. (Doesn't anybody bother to search anymore?)

Did the damn search, and it did not come up.

She was indeed a very good actress and James Dean got along with her during the shooting of East of Eden. He liked her a lot. She had a soothing quality for him.

The Haunting, Requiem for a Heavyweight, The Member of the Wedding...of course i remember Julie Harris. She was really great.

God bless her.
