They blame President Obama for the Hurricane Katrina debacle -- despite the fact that he wouldn't be president until three years later.
Absolute proof that Republicans are truly, totally, and abysmally stupid

Where was that Obama when Kennedy was shot ??
|by Anonymous||reply 2||08/21/2013|
Nah, that's just inbred "Louisiana Stupid" + conservative claptrap.
They were just as stupid as Democrats -- as they were in all the neo-Red Southern states.

Yeah, well, if he had been playing checkers instead of chess, Hurricane Betsy wouldn't have been sucked up the mouth of the Mississippi, decimating New Orleans.

The people who linked Obama to Katrina were obviously trolling. How can anyone take this seriously?
|by Anonymous||reply 5||08/21/2013|

R5 -- trolling would mean a few people. This is a large number of people, and they're serious. Remember, they get their news--if they get any news at all--on Fox, or at freerepublic. They are genuinely, truly dumb.

How is thinkprogress discussing the NSA spying issue?
Beating the Republicans up for a stupid statement feels good but it doesn't really address the issues we're facing today.
What is their issue on that topic?

r2 made me laugh

Obama would have been, what? 15 months when JFK was shot? Living in Hawaii?
|by Anonymous||reply 10||08/21/2013|
Whoops, my bad. August 1961. Obama would have been 2 1/2. More than enough time to learn how to use deadly force, I suppose.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||08/21/2013|
in Hawaii? I believe he was still Kenya!
|by Anonymous||reply 12||08/21/2013|
They were probably asked whether Obama or Bush was more to blame and stopped listening as soon as they heard "blame."
|by Anonymous||reply 13||08/21/2013|
Proof that they're stupid was available years before this.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||08/21/2013|
Next up in the line of proof: Some birther moron who thinks Ted Cruz should be allowed to run for President, because it's not like Canada is a "foreign" country or anything...
|by Anonymous||reply 15||08/23/2013|
Well, no, R17, that's a typical false equivalency.

Well, if he was anything like those toddlers who kill their dads with one shot your post is entirely plausible.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||08/23/2013|
Obama was born in August 1961. He would have been zero.

This wouldn't shock me nearly as much if this was just a general poll of Republicans across the country. But this was a poll of LOUISIANA Republicans. These people lived through Katrina and should have very vivid memories of the event seared into their brains. How on earth can they now say that it was Obama's fault? He was still a Senator from Illinois at that time. I don't think he had even announced his Presidential aspirations. Katrina happened only 7 months into Bush's second term. It's insane.

Dance around it all you like. Anyone calling for the killing of people of a particular race or orientation is easily as disgusting as any freeper, r18.
|by Anonymous||reply 22||08/23/2013|
R24 needs to calm down a little.
