Is Anyone Using Cloud Over Flashdrives Now?

God, when was the last time we used floppy disks?

Is there any other means of saving content to some portal device now days?

Doesn't matter. Nothing lasts.

I beg to differ, r2.

Use the Cloud for what? Private info? Nope.

I've been using Crash Plan for a little over a month. They offer a free one month trial.

I use it to store only my media--photos, music and movies.

I had a break in earlier this summer and my computer and external drives were stolen.

I'm still backing up to externals, but I'm now hiding one of them elsewhere since it's easier to restore from the external.

I'm using the cloud service so I don't have to deal with what I went through this summer again.

I for one am pissed that Macs are eliminating CD burners.

Essentially, in the future we won't own any music, because I will have rent space to store it.

I don't want to rent space on the internet to hold something I OWN. I don't want to buy an APP to Play and share something I OWN.
