Angus T. Jones replaced by Amber Tamblyn in 2 1/2 Men
|by Anonymous||reply 72||05/31/2014|
JUST CANCEL THE FUCKING SHOW.
|by Anonymous||reply 1||08/09/2013|
Don't cry for Angus. He's the richest kid in L.A., unless he gives all his TV earnings away to a cult.
|by Anonymous||reply 2||08/09/2013|
Jones will still appear occasionally I believe.
|by Anonymous||reply 3||08/09/2013|
No one will notice the difference.
|by Anonymous||reply 4||08/09/2013|
Has Amber done comedy before?
|by Anonymous||reply 5||08/09/2013|
R1, why would they cancel the show? It's still making truckloads of money for CBS and Warner Bros. I'm not vouching for the quality, but it's a cash cow -- and CBS and WB are businesses.
|by Anonymous||reply 6||08/09/2013|
The only times I have ever watched this show was when I was channel surfing and saw Holland Taylor. I like her, but the show was beyond lame. However, Amber Tamblyn as a horny dyke sounds kind of interesting. Of course given CBS's demographics, I doubt they will do it well.
|by Anonymous||reply 7||08/09/2013|
"...playing Jenny, the lesbian illegitimate daughter of the late Charlie Harper (Charlie Sheen)."
I assume she'll play one of those soft butch lesbians who sometimes stuffs her pants with quarter length athletic socks.
|by Anonymous||reply 8||08/09/2013|
Really good choice!
|by Anonymous||reply 9||08/09/2013|
What the fuck happened to her career!
Ten years ago, in September 2003, CBS premiered [italic]Joan of Arcadia[/italic]. Amber Tamblyn won the Golden Globe. She was nominated (and should have won) the Emmy. Years later, she does the dying [italic]House[/italic], and now she's about to do the rigor mortis [italic]Two and a Half Men[/italic].
What a disappointment!
|by Anonymous||reply 10||08/09/2013|
I never watched the show, but it's great to see that no-talent ugly little fat fuck gone. Nothing personal kid.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||08/09/2013|
R10 - I think she does not aspire to the ,limelight. She's made a few good indie pictures like Spiral. She also does poetry readings. And of course is married to David Cross.
|by Anonymous||reply 12||08/09/2013|
David Cross is a wack-a-doo. I don't know what that says about Amber.
|by Anonymous||reply 13||08/10/2013|
Oh, I get it. She's a lesbian, so that must make her half man. This show has managed to sink to new depths WITHOUT Charlie Sheen. Impressive.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||08/10/2013|
Don't worry, R14, a lot of people hate the show now.
|by Anonymous||reply 15||08/10/2013|
Amber talks about her character.
" ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Tell me about your character, Charlie Harper’s long-lost daughter.
AMBER TAMBLYN: Her name is Jenny, and she is a fun, playful, debaucherous character. She’s unapologetic and enjoys drinking Ashton Kutcher’s character [Walden] under the table. Literally, at some point, he’s gonna be under the table, and there’ll be a joke about that.
You describe Jenny as unapologetic, which also seems to describe what her father was like. Does she share any other character traits with him?
Yes, very much so — her love for women. She’s super into the ladies, and that’s something that is a recurring thing. I think I’ve seen more bras and panties at this point than I have in 20 years of my career. And I ain’t complainin’.
|by Anonymous||reply 16||09/27/2013|
[quote]What the fuck happened to her career!
She is 30 and has been a working actor since she was 12.
She's a published poet - which is probably more rare than a working actor.
I'm not sure exactly what you find disappointing?
|by Anonymous||reply 17||09/27/2013|
Amber Tamblyn is a really unfortunate name.
|by Anonymous||reply 18||09/27/2013|
[all posts by tedious, racist idiot removed.]
|by Anonymous||reply 19||09/27/2013|
Final season. Moving on.
|by Anonymous||reply 20||09/28/2013|
Yet another lesbian character on tv.. not exactly surprised. And to have her as a horny dyke.. again, not surprised. Wake me up when they have the balls to add a gay (male) character.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||09/28/2013|
Anything or anyone is better than Angus T!!!
|by Anonymous||reply 22||09/28/2013|
When is the Steve Jobs movie going to be released?
|by Anonymous||reply 23||09/28/2013|
What is the story with Lady Miss Butthurt at r21 who always crops up to complain that lesbians are better represented on TV than gay men? Plenty of TV shows today feature gay male characters--probably just as many or even more shows than feature lezzies. Perhaps r21 just needs to get over his need to be the victim in every situation.
|by Anonymous||reply 24||09/28/2013|
Angus T. Jones sounds like something you'd order in an upscale steakhouse. "I'll have the Angus T. Jones, medium rare, with a side order of hash browns and the creamed spinach."
|by Anonymous||reply 25||09/28/2013|
Amber has put on some weight, but carries it well.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||09/28/2013|
I liked the show before but I believe it is time to pull the plug. Ashton could not save it and the character of Alan is now a cartoon.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||09/28/2013|
Everything you had to say after "I liked the show before" became meaningless, r27.
|by Anonymous||reply 28||09/28/2013|
Angus was the funniest character on the show. He had some great lines and executed them well.
|by Anonymous||reply 29||09/28/2013|
The series is cursed. One and a half of the two and a half men went cray cray.
|by Anonymous||reply 30||09/28/2013|
SO 1 dyke equals one half man. how many gays equals one dyke
|by Anonymous||reply 31||09/28/2013|
Take this show out back and put a bullet in it already.
|by Anonymous||reply 32||09/28/2013|
Angus is an unfortunately homely, crazy little fellow.
|by Anonymous||reply 33||09/28/2013|
Such a rotten-hearted show, with three great actors (Crier, Ferrell and Holland Taylor) too craven and connected to the money to leave. That shithead who replaced Sheen, the disgusting and one-note Jones, the aggressively wrong Tamblyn - hideous.
|by Anonymous||reply 34||09/28/2013|
I'd watch it if Lynda Carter turns into Wonder Woman and kicks Ashton Kutcher's ass.
|by Anonymous||reply 35||09/28/2013|
[quote]She's a published poet
Yeah, she's a regular Robert Frost. Do you have any understanding how the media industry works? You'll be pushing her for a Nobel Prize next.
|by Anonymous||reply 36||09/28/2013|
R36 - Actually I do.
Apparently you don't.
|by Anonymous||reply 37||09/29/2013|
[quote] Amber Tamblyn is a really unfortunate name.
|by Anonymous||reply 38||09/29/2013|
This will probably be the last season. Even the addition of a boner-dyke character and probably more cunnilingus jokes than previously known to man won’t help it.
|by Anonymous||reply 39||09/29/2013|
I watched it ... it was nice to have Holland Taylor back. She wasn't on much, if at all, last season.
|by Anonymous||reply 40||09/29/2013|
I really liked the show for about the first three seasons. After that I watched it occasionally. In the first couple of seasons, when he was completely self unaware, Angus was funny as hell. Especially when they teamed him with his grandmother.
But yeah, the mom and housekeeper were the funniest parts of the show. Especially the way the mother dealt with being a new widow.
|by Anonymous||reply 41||09/29/2013|
Why so pessimistic, R39?
|by Anonymous||reply 42||09/29/2013|
Yes, really, Russ Tamblyn, father, at r38. Amber is a wretched, trailer-trash name under any circumstances, and sounds particularly awful with Tamblyn. For those of us who are elderqueers, reminds me of the refrain to that stupid Black Betty song from the 70s:
Whoa, Black Betty (Amber Tamblyn) Whoa, Black Betty (Amber Tamblyn) Black Betty had a child (Amber Tamblyn) Damn thing gone wild (Amber Tamblyn)
Sounds nearly identical to the original, right?
What, I was supposed to like the name because her father was a celebrity, too?
|by Anonymous||reply 43||09/29/2013|
[quote] Ten years ago, in September 2003, CBS premiered Joan of Arcadia. Amber Tamblyn won the Golden Globe. She was nominated (and should have won) the Emmy.
She thought she was too good for tv and wanted to be a big movie star
|by Anonymous||reply 44||09/29/2013|
[quote]it's great to see that no-talent ugly little fat fuck gone.
He isn't fat anymore. I don't think he gained any weight since he was 10, in other words he grew into his fat.
|by Anonymous||reply 45||09/29/2013|
R35 - LOL!
Amber's actually quite a good actress. She's showing range too, her character on 2 1/2 Men is very different from her character on House.
|by Anonymous||reply 46||09/29/2013|
I watched the season opener of 2 1/2 Men with Amber Tamblyn. She's good, but the plot is predictable because she's "just like Charlie." That said, she's taking screen time away from Kutcher, which is a good thing! Still miss hot mess Sheen on the show, but Cryer and Berta are still on fire.
|by Anonymous||reply 47||09/29/2013|
That's racist, they are calling her a half a men cause she likes the lezsex?
You fags are all shit fucked up.
|by Anonymous||reply 48||09/30/2013|
No one has called her half a man.
|by Anonymous||reply 49||09/30/2013|
She's doing quite well as Jenny.
|by Anonymous||reply 50||10/27/2013|
One of the worst sitcoms ever. It's at the bottom of the barrel with Family Matters, Full House and My Mother The Car.
|by Anonymous||reply 51||10/27/2013|
R51 - It's lasted 11 seasons and I am enjoying Amber.
|by Anonymous||reply 52||10/27/2013|
Angus was far funnier.
|by Anonymous||reply 53||10/29/2013|
R53 - No, he wasn't.
|by Anonymous||reply 54||10/29/2013|
Amber is doing well in the show.
|by Anonymous||reply 55||11/28/2013|
Amber's character Jenny is a great addition to the show, and Amber's performance is solid.
|by Anonymous||reply 56||03/17/2014|
Tamblyn is the only funny thing on that show.
|by Anonymous||reply 57||03/17/2014|
R57 - Sadly true, though I like Courtney Thorne-Smith.
|by Anonymous||reply 58||03/17/2014|
This is a great interview with Amber.
|by Anonymous||reply 59||05/30/2014|
I can't wait to see her in Tarantino's The Hateful Eight!!!
|by Anonymous||reply 60||05/30/2014|
Me too R60
|by Anonymous||reply 61||05/30/2014|
Why would anyone watch this dreck? There's so much better stuff to watch now. Shows like this are the lowest of the low. I feel sorry for Jon Cryer for being stuck doing this lame shit for so long, and having to put up with assholes like Sheen and Kutcher for so long.
Never forget: Josef Fritzl - who raped daughter for 24 years - loves Charlie Sheen's 'Two and a Half Men'
|by Anonymous||reply 62||05/30/2014|
R62 - Sheen is no longer with the show. By the way, there's this new show on TV called Breaking Bad.
|by Anonymous||reply 63||05/30/2014|
R62, Cryer could have left when any of his contracts ended. It's not prison. And he's walking away millions upon millions upon millions of dollars. I think he's fine.
|by Anonymous||reply 64||05/30/2014|
[quote]Don't cry for Angus. He's the richest kid in L.A., unless he gives all his TV earnings away to a cult.
Unfortunately, he will probably blow all his money to his cult.
|by Anonymous||reply 65||05/30/2014|
Wasn't Amber a scream queen in Horror films?
|by Anonymous||reply 66||05/30/2014|
Not really R66
|by Anonymous||reply 67||05/30/2014|
You missed the point, r63.
|by Anonymous||reply 68||05/30/2014|
R66, she did that Grudge movie but other than that not really.
She's a good comedic actress, but really excels at drama. She's the lead in Tarantino's next movie and I really hope it gives her some great opportunities.
|by Anonymous||reply 69||05/30/2014|
Well, she was also in The Ring (the best part of the movie). But I wouldn't call her a Scream queen.
|by Anonymous||reply 70||05/30/2014|
R54 Yes, he was.
|by Anonymous||reply 71||05/30/2014|
R71 No, he wasn't.
|by Anonymous||reply 72||05/31/2014|
