Let's pretend we're straight homophobes on the subject of gay marriage

"But if gay marriage is allowed the human will become extinct eventually".

Real statement I heard.

by Anonymousreply 4708/01/2013

"When the Bible says that divorce isn't allowed, that's just a recommendation. When it condemns homosexuality, that must be followed to the letter."

by Anonymousreply 108/01/2013

Sanctity of marriage! Sanctity of marriage!

by Anonymousreply 208/01/2013

"Marriage has always been between a man and a woman."

by Anonymousreply 308/01/2013

Oddly enough, the homophobes I know support gay marriage. It's abstract enough for them, I guess.

by Anonymousreply 408/01/2013

"Marriage is for procreation and two dudes or two chicks can't have a baby."

by Anonymousreply 508/01/2013

"If gay marriage is allowed, priests who are against it will be taken away in chains."

by Anonymousreply 608/01/2013

Why am I being persecuted for persecuting gays?!

by Anonymousreply 708/01/2013

"I (who joined the KKKatholic church in my 30s) should be allowed to marry and divorce men four separate times (so far), but my religion is accepting of gay people... as long as they don't act on their attraction to people of the same sex, and that's perfectly fair."

by Anonymousreply 808/01/2013

"It's Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve."

God that line is stale.

by Anonymousreply 908/01/2013

G8d hates phags.

by Anonymousreply 1008/01/2013

Those types kill me R8. Yes, our church is accepting of gays as long as you don't act on your sexuality.

by Anonymousreply 1108/01/2013

Which one is the woman and which is the man?

by Anonymousreply 1208/01/2013

Or just sending mixed messages.

by Anonymousreply 1308/01/2013

Next thing you know people will want to marry their pets.

by Anonymousreply 1408/01/2013

Why would we want to pretend that?

by Anonymousreply 1508/01/2013

If it`s passed,it will lead to legalizing marriages between a man and his dog!

by Anonymousreply 1608/01/2013

Good question, R15.

Still, I enjoy making fun of these inane comments.

by Anonymousreply 1708/01/2013

Also, do we have to be straight?

We can be gay homophobes, which are the best kind.

by Anonymousreply 1808/01/2013

THINK OF THE CHILDREN! Gay parents will recruit them!!!!!!

by Anonymousreply 1908/01/2013

My favorite: a man will now be able to marry his son in order to avoid estate taxes.

by Anonymousreply 2008/01/2013

If I'm too afraid to suck cock, than no other dudes can either!

by Anonymousreply 2108/01/2013

What you do in the privacy of your bedroom is none of my business, but why do you have to [flaunt it] [rub my nose in it?]

by Anonymousreply 2208/01/2013

I'm not a homophobe. I don't fear gay people. I don't hate gay people. I hate homosexual acts.

by Anonymousreply 2308/01/2013

I wonder which one plays the role of the woman?

by Anonymousreply 2408/01/2013

R24, apparently R12 wondered the same thing.

by Anonymousreply 2508/01/2013

"Next thing you know people will be marrying their dogs, or their horses."

by Anonymousreply 2608/01/2013

"Gay people CAN get married. They can marry someone of the opposite sex. A fag can marry a lesbo."

I seriously want to stab people who say that.

by Anonymousreply 2708/01/2013

I'm with R15. The theme of this thread speaks volumes about OP's need for other people's hating him, since his own self-loathing doesn't suffice. .. Poor dear..

by Anonymousreply 2808/01/2013

You end up with two spouses bitching at the other for not putting the seat down to pee.

by Anonymousreply 2908/01/2013

Actually this thread was created with the intent to mock idiot homophobes and their equally idiotic statements.

by Anonymousreply 3008/01/2013

"I've done the gay community a great favor by giving them a cause to rally around. Why can't they show their gratitude by supporting my awesome new movie?"

by Anonymousreply 3108/01/2013

Not true, R28 and R15. You can be tossing the remarks back and forth (to refute them, mock them, or just compare notes) and not be remotely self-loathing.

What's sad is psychoanalyzing someone (badly) from a post on a frivolous site.

The gay-straight group at my kid's high school does it, and as a result, a bunch of 15 through 19 year olds are quick with a retort, and never let a comment like these go by without using one (at least mine doesn't). I think that's a good thing.

by Anonymousreply 3208/01/2013

[R22], don't forget the classic "shoving it down our throats!"

by Anonymousreply 3308/01/2013

"It's written in the bible, it's written in the bible"

by Anonymousreply 3408/01/2013

Why should we give homosexuals "special" rights?

by Anonymousreply 3508/01/2013

"So which one's the woman?"

by Anonymousreply 3608/01/2013

One even better R35. "Why don't we get special rights?".

by Anonymousreply 3708/01/2013

"They're starting to take over everything, demanding all these legal 'rights' and stuff!"

--Actual quote from a homophobic acquaintance...who's black.

by Anonymousreply 3808/01/2013

"There should be a straight pride day!"

by Anonymousreply 3908/01/2013

"Your sexuality is infringing on my religious freedom."

by Anonymousreply 4008/01/2013

I can't believe a black person said that R38. They should be very supportive of gays considering their own history.

by Anonymousreply 4108/01/2013

What's next on the gay agenda? Teaching our children that's it's OK to be gay?

by Anonymousreply 4208/01/2013

MY SKINS DON'T EQUAL YOUR SINS!

by Anonymousreply 4308/01/2013

[quote]I can't believe a black person said that [R38]. They should be very supportive of gays considering their own history.

One of the theories as to why California Prop. 8 passed in 2008 was that it was due to the larger-than-normal number of minority voters that year; many were older and deeply religious.

by Anonymousreply 4408/01/2013

"The freedom of people who do not agree with homosexual lifestyle is at stake."

(A close cousin of R40 and R7, lifted from a news site's comments section.)

by Anonymousreply 4608/01/2013

This is another front in the Democrat war on religion.
