(or more exactly was sold to a Utah company)

should I close my accounts?

They wont even notice. But you can still tell they why as you close your account. Unless of course you are talking about millions of dollars, then they will take note. But most people dont keep that kind of cash in a bank.

They're probably all owned my Mormon$. Closing accounts negatively affects your credit rating. Why let them do that to you?

Do it OP. Here are some tips about closing your credit card account with the bank. There's no downside to your credit score for just switching banks.
