Is he behaving better because the Canyons is coming out?
Bret Easton Ellis's Twitter sucks now
|by Anonymous||reply 30||12/14/2013|
Maybe he got his meds adjusted, maybe somebody got through to him that those arch comments that he thought were so Gore Vidalian were actually more Ann Coulterish and that rather than enhancing his public image they were actually flushing the career that he's sucked so many cocks to build and maintain. But most likely he's just on a bender and forgot where he put his phone.

I'm looking forward to seeing "The Canyons." I don't always agree with Bret Easton Ellis, but I admire his gumption and his refusal to be politically correct.
|by Anonymous||reply 2||09/01/2013|
I agree he's behaving better because of the Canyons.
His observations on the millennial generation vis a vis his boyfriend were on point. Weren't they supposed to get married soon?
|by Anonymous||reply 3||09/01/2013|
Bret Easton Ellis is a hoot. Lie a previous poster said, it's great that he has the courage not to be politically correct.
|by Anonymous||reply 4||09/02/2013|
Gay republicans are gross.
|by Anonymous||reply 5||09/02/2013|
Freudian slip much, Bret?
"Lie a previous poster said"
R2 and R4, you're the same person, i.e. Bret the no-talent drug addict PR shilling his own pathetic Twitter account here on DL once again.
Do fuck off and die, you has-been.
|by Anonymous||reply 6||09/02/2013|
I'll give Bret credit for being the only member of the massively hyped literary "brat pack" who has actually gone on to become a major American literary figure (as those things go these days.) Jay McInerney, Tama Janowitz, and Fernanda Eberstadt and Donna Tartt haven't exactly gone on to set the world on fire.
|by Anonymous||reply 7||09/02/2013|
"a major American literary figure"
You mistyped "gargantuan egotistical cuntswipe who only narrowly escaped a deserved drug overdose and is still laughably desperate for attention."
|by Anonymous||reply 8||09/02/2013|
Bret wouldn't know a good third act if it fucked him in the ass. He did get to suck James Deen off, which was the reason he made The Canyons in the first place.
|by Anonymous||reply 9||09/02/2013|
R7, I thought I followed that scene fairly we but I have never heard of Fernanda Eberstadt. Who dat?!
|by Anonymous||reply 10||09/02/2013|
[R5] Gay Republicans are intelligent and patriotic.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||09/02/2013|
He's a "major American literary figure"? Only to some stray DL poster in Des Moines. Lord help us all.
|by Anonymous||reply 12||09/02/2013|
"His observations on the millennial generation vis a vis his boyfriend were on point."
Given his myriad personal problems, no criticism he makes can ever have lasting, genuine merit.
|by Anonymous||reply 13||09/02/2013|
R2/R4/R11 left out "delusional."
|by Anonymous||reply 14||09/02/2013|
Ellis hates gays. Why are we even talking about this? He's Ann Coulter.
|by Anonymous||reply 15||09/02/2013|
He recently spoiled the ending of Gravity on Twitter, and then, said that the people who complained about it are proof of the "dumbed down culture we live in."
|by Anonymous||reply 16||09/11/2013|
[R15] "He's Ann Coulter."
You say that like it's a bad thing.
|by Anonymous||reply 17||10/24/2013|
OP = Bret
Go away, you self-loathing homophobic Republican fuckhead!
|by Anonymous||reply 18||10/24/2013|
I read that one book. What did he write to qualify for major status?
|by Anonymous||reply 19||10/24/2013|
He just tweeted his approval of the new 50 Shades casting.
Also, he thinks that the hack frau who wrote 50 Shades is insanely cool, so that should tell you that coke has fried his brain.
|by Anonymous||reply 20||10/25/2013|
I look forward to watching "The Canyons." Bret is hilarious and gays should know better than to take him too seriously. Not a great writer, though.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||10/26/2013|
When will "The Canyons" be on DVD?
|by Anonymous||reply 22||10/29/2013|
[R22] It will be released in mid-November. I'm looking forward to it, also.
|by Anonymous||reply 23||11/01/2013|
Anyone interested should troller R21 or R23. The results will be 'hilarious.'
|by Anonymous||reply 24||11/02/2013|
Bret recently said taht Lindsay Lohan's problems caused "The Canyons" to fail because they overshadowed the film itself. He added that her performance was good, but that her bad press overshadowed her work.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||11/20/2013|
It was never in theaters.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||11/20/2013|
I watched The Canyons and I liked it.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||12/14/2013|
Didn't someone say he used to post here anonymously?
|by Anonymous||reply 28||12/14/2013|
I actually enjoyed watching Lohan and Deen. Too bad Lohan threw a great career away.
|by Anonymous||reply 29||12/14/2013|
As I said, she was good but her baggage ruins everything.
I hope Gus didn't get fuck Deen.
