Jesus Christ. Are those Fairuza Balk's real teeth?
I finally saw "The Craft" (1996)

Yes, they are. Btw, Robin Tunney was wearing a wig in that movie.
|by Anonymous||reply 1||07/25/2013|
It was obvious about Tunney's wig as it had had that wig hairline and I reognized her face from "Empire Records" as the bald girl which came out right before.
No wonder Balk is barely visible anymore.

Holy shit, I never realized she was Dorothy in Return to Oz!

What picture are you referring to, OP? Your link goes to the main IMDB page.
|by Anonymous||reply 4||07/25/2013|
Love that movie, really an iconic piece of film.
|by Anonymous||reply 5||07/25/2013|
I just meant in general, R4. But here's a pic:

I loved this movie, mainly for Neve.
|by Anonymous||reply 7||07/25/2013|
Very good movie, but Fairuza Balk was quite the one-hit wonder, wasn't she?
|by Anonymous||reply 8||07/25/2013|
R8, Fairuza Balk also played Dorothy in "Return to Oz" and Cecile in "Valmont" with Colin Firth.

Clip featuring Neve.
|by Anonymous||reply 10||07/25/2013|
Damn, Balk as Dorothy could have just EATEN Mombi.

|by Anonymous||reply 12||07/26/2013|
Neve's aged better than JLH
|by Anonymous||reply 13||07/26/2013|
You're LATE AS HELL, OP. But, better late than never, I suppose. Fairuza MADE this film. Her performance in T"he Craft" is an underrated masterpiece.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||07/26/2013|
Was this made before or after Scream?

This was the one of the best and biggest cult films to come out of the 90s.
Honestly, I was happy to see most of the actresses are still in circulation today. Neve at least had the Scream franchise, Robin Tunney was on the Mentalist, Rachel True pops up on TV from time to time and even randomly appeared on Kathy Griffin's old show as herself.
While Fairuza made this movie as Nancy Downs. However, the last time I saw her in a film was The Water Boy (and I think that was the last big one she did although she has been in many smaller ones since). I think she always has had a unique look and persona. I know she recently did "The Haunting Of" as a follow up to her "Celebrity Ghost Story" episodes as herself and she comes across as rather strange. Apparently she owns a candle making business and claimed she was being haunted by ghosts in the factory space she owned.

Balk also use to own PANPIPES, an occult bookstore on Hollywood Blvd.
|by Anonymous||reply 18||07/27/2013|
Balk was great in American History X. She would fit right in on Orange is the New Black.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||07/27/2013|
I visited Panpies years ago when I was in LA, and I told the girl behind the counter to tell Fairuza I said hi.
|by Anonymous||reply 20||07/27/2013|
Neve's worked steadily even outside of the Scream movies. She was recently on Gray's.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||07/27/2013|
Fairuza Balk is a career-killer kind of a name. Honestly.
|by Anonymous||reply 22||07/27/2013|
Cult classic popular among the gays. Still have to see, so here's another timely memo.
|by Anonymous||reply 23||07/27/2013|
Fairuza was excellent in Gas, Food, Lodging. I always liked her, she was just the right amount of exotic and kooky, but perhaps too much so for Hollywood. I agree with R19, she'd be a good fit on OitNB, but maybe she'd rather make candles than act nowadays.
|by Anonymous||reply 24||07/27/2013|
Neve and Fairuza are both Canadian.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||07/27/2013|
I find her teeth beautiful!
|by Anonymous||reply 26||07/27/2013|
Short interview of Neve
|by Anonymous||reply 27||07/27/2013|
I like this scene
|by Anonymous||reply 28||07/27/2013|
I agree, R19. Balk is an extremely talented actress. I loved her in this film and in American History X.
|by Anonymous||reply 29||07/27/2013|
Campbell must have jumped right from filming this to "Scream"- while somehow finding time during seasons of "Party of Five." They were only released 7 months apart.
|by Anonymous||reply 30||07/27/2013|
Neve looks heavier in The Craft than she did in Scream.
|by Anonymous||reply 31||07/27/2013|
I always tell my brother that, R31. Her boobs even look bigger in THE CRAFT than in SCREAM.
|by Anonymous||reply 32||07/28/2013|
But when where they filmef R30?
