CBS and Time Warner in Dispute

Whoever wins, customers lose.

CBS is running spots asking viewers to campaign against TW.

They've extended the talks. Showtime is also having TW contract talks.

Time Warner is no friend to any networks or to their subscribers.

Yesterday I logged into the website of the Milwaukee NBC affiliate (to see local reaction to news about the Ryan Braun suspension). They have an announcement on top of the page saying that Time Warner is being unfair in their contract negotiations, and is using misleading press to try to sway public opinion.

I think most people tend to side against cable companies in disputes like these, regardless of the marketing TW does to counter it.
