If all of your posts and threads here on DL were viewed by..

Your family, partner, friends, boss/colleagues -

Would you be mortified and ashamed?

If so, why?

Me: Yes, because I can be an asshole here sometimes. Not proud of it.

Yes

And then some

by Anonymousreply 209/22/2013

I have no shame.

by Anonymousreply 309/22/2013

No. I usually read most of them to my 84 year old Mom anyway.

by Anonymousreply 409/22/2013

Yes, slightly. No one outside of DL realizes quite how many sweets I enjoy.

by Anonymousreply 509/22/2013

I yield the floor to JANBOT.

by Anonymousreply 609/22/2013

Yes, I've aired a lot of my family's dirty laundry on here over the past several years

by Anonymousreply 709/22/2013

No, like a rat's ass.

by Anonymousreply 809/22/2013

No. They wouldn't understand any of it. In fact, they don't understand anything I say.

by Anonymousreply 909/22/2013

You bet.

Many things I'm proud of writing. But some things are intensely private, and I would feel very exposed. I appreciate the anonymous nature of the board. I would be guarded if I had to use a username with each post. I would constantly engage in apperception, and heavily edit everything I write.

Professional exposure is where I'd be most concerned, because my ability to turn a buck is based in large part on perception of me, and I'm very careful about what I share professionally.

[quote]Actually, many of us ARE better than these parasites.

Only when I post as the rimming troll. Might bring some shame but fuck 'em.

Otherwise I'm very sweet and nice.

by Anonymousreply 1309/22/2013

I didn't KNOW we had a rimming troll here!

by Anonymousreply 1409/23/2013

They would slap my face viciously
