Desperate Oprah lands Lindsay Lohan interview and docu-series
Lindsay Lohan's comeback will be televised.
OWN has inked the troubled actress for a sit-down interview in August with Oprah Winfrey and signed Lohan to an eight-part documentary series set for 2014, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
As first reported by EW, Lohan's currently untitled docuseries will chronicle the young starlet's effort to rebuild her career and stay healthy.
Lohan is currently fulfilling a 90-day court-ordered rehab stint at Betty Ford that will likely come to an end July 31. The Winfrey interview will mark her first post-rehab conversation.
The news comes as Lohan has struggled with her sobriety, making headlines during the filming of Lifetime's high-profile Elizabeth Taylor TV movie Liz & Dick and the feature The Canyons. Most recently, her efforts to return to the success she had with Mean Girls and Herbie included arcs on Fox's Glee and FX's Charlie Sheen comedy Anger Management, with the vocal actor noting Lohan held the production "hostage" after delivering "half a show," often arriving two hours late.

Oprah has ruined whatever "legacy" she had after she started this OWN and decided to go down the trash television route. FFS - she even gave LaToya Jackson a reality show! Now Lindsay?

The Shania Twain reality show/documentary Oprah did was really good. Hopefully the same production team will be working on this show. It was kinda fake/staged but it was excellent in its themes/messaging and painting Shania as a sympathetic character.

Ugh, can you imagine that ridiculous interview. LiLo will turn up tanned within an inch of her life, with hideous peroxide blonde hair, looking every bit like an aging hooker and then proceed to deny any drug addiction or alcohol problem. Good luck Oprah, you'll need it.

How much of OWN does Oprah still own? I thought Discovery pretty much bought her out.

Next up: an OWN-produced reality show starring all the Lohans.

All of the OWN reality shows have been boring shit.

I've been hearing that OWN's ratings are up a lot so there is no need to bring in trashy Lohan.

Oh that Lindsay. The girl knows how to make a buck when times are tough. And it's actually a pretty good thing for her to be involved with Oprah. At least it's classier and healthier than Dr. Drew.

Lindsay will screw over Oprah just like she does everybody else.

Prior to the interview, she'll be in trouble with the law again and have another hearing scheduled with the judge. Oprah's just as stupid as Lohan if she thinks she'll get this interview.

What Lindsay doesn't know is that during the reality show Iyanla Vanzant will pop out of a closet to read her to pieces!

Black Oprah meets white Oprah's daughter.

They are both so 90's. They are both so over. Lohan trying to get sober for years and Oprah trying to get thin for years.

And she hasn't been able to quit me for years.
