How can they tell?
Russia will arrest openly gay tourists

Don't worry, some queens in skinny jeans, pretty blouses and fab make up will walk through Red Square holding hands to test it out. The Russians will be able to tell.

Aren't they getting the Olympics?

I fear for Pavel Petel, or do the authorities think he's a woman?
|by Anonymous||reply 3||07/11/2013|
They think he's straight.
|by Anonymous||reply 4||07/11/2013|
"How can they tell?"
Well, if you tell the Russkies that the interrogation room lighting is "simply awful" and that they're drinking the "least nuanced" of the 20 brands of vodka you've sipped at the Manhole, you're fucked.

DO NOT eat Skittles 2 weeks before your trip there, for fear of the urine testing.

Caftans, earrings, purses.

"I’m liking this leader more and more."
|by Anonymous||reply 8||07/11/2013|
"I guess 0bama won’t be visiting Russia anytime soon. Russia’s seen the damage that gay obsession can do to a country, ESPECIALLY CHILDREN.. OURS."
|by Anonymous||reply 9||07/11/2013|
Typical phobe. He's like Shirley Phelps-Roper. He wants to be martyred.
|by Anonymous||reply 10||07/11/2013|
Russia is such a weird place. They crave a dictator.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||07/11/2013|
R11, much like the United States.
|by Anonymous||reply 12||07/11/2013|
As if gays actually pose a threat! Please! The threat is putting the gays back underground, that is the real problem.

What gay person would be stupid enough to want to go to a homophobic shithole like that anyway?

R3 the hilarious thing is, in Russia at least, most of Pavel Petel's fans are straight women. They love him.
R16 sadly I wouldn't be surprised if Safin was in on this. He seems like a typical conservative, womanizing jerk.

100 years ago my grandmother was kicked out of Russia, now I'm being locked out of it.
|by Anonymous||reply 18||07/12/2013|
I think that was the bill he voted for, yes, R16, but I'm not sure. It's sad it was thought up and passed and sad that he voted for it.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||07/12/2013|
It passed unanimously. 300+ - 0.

Boycott that bullshit country full of drunks. And boycott their olympics in Sochi. Who the fuck wants to go to Sochi anyway?
|by Anonymous||reply 21||07/12/2013|
Well, if you're openly gay and go to Russia, you get what you deserve. I wouldn't waste one minute or one cent in a country run by thugs who should just all kill each other. Czars, commies and now thugs - lovely history of crooks running the country.

How many Athletes/Fans will have to be arrested at the 2014 Olympics in SOCHI, before the IOC intervenes?
Fortunately, for American Olympians, Obama is the President and will stand up for them. I don't think the Olympians from other countries, with less than gay friendly leaders, will fare so well (Germany-Merkel, Canada-Harper, Italy-Berlusconi etc.)

You in danger girl!

Berlusconi hasn't been prime minister of Italy since November, 2011 and is facing seven years in prison for paying an underage girl for sex. But we get your point.
This isn't a situation like the US boycott of the Moscow Olympics because of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. This puts the Olympic athletes and tourists in danger.

Really, OP? Did you not read the word "openly" when you typed it in?
