The nightmares I used to have! She was one terrifying bitch.
Alma scared the living shit out of me as a kid.

Remember when she spiked Blaine's milk with drugs. Then she dressed up as a clown to frighten her.
She was determined to kill Blaine by driving her crazy.

Alma and Cecile recreated the farm house where Blaine was terrorized as a child, kidnapped her and locked her in the closet.

Yes, who are you talking about? I hate these stupid threads where people think it's cute to talk about shit that no one outside you little clique would know.
|by Anonymous||reply 5||07/02/2013|
I'm guessing it's another fucking soap thread.
|by Anonymous||reply 6||07/02/2013|
Oh boy, I was suffering terrible allergies and I was stuck inside. I was glued to that whole Alma thing. Blaine was such a huge wimp. I remember my mother telling me that Blaine used to be the bitch and Cecile was the good girl.

It's another fucking soap thread.

Alma was portrayed by Tony winner and multiple Emmy nominee Elizabeth Franz
|by Anonymous||reply 9||10/14/2013|
Fucking soap thread! Give it up you soap scum. Nobody gives a good shit about your "stories".

Elizabeth Franz (Alma) conspiring with Lois Smith (Ella)
Two great theater actors on a Soap!

Elizabeth Franz is still action. Was just in a Grey's Anatomy last year.

Alma was one of the best villains ever.
Elizabeth Franz was so terrifying in the role. Fantastic actress. She overpowered Laura Malone in the acting department.
I was rooting for Alma because I never liked Blaine, even though for a while every man in Bay City was falling for her -- Jamie, Jordan, Joey, Jerry.
Humm, I guess I should amend that to say every man whose name began with the letter J in Bay City was falling for her.

This was a pretty dull period for AW, but Alma was a bright spot.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||10/14/2013|
Aw man, I this was about F.E.A.R.
|by Anonymous||reply 15||10/15/2013|
The actor who played Jerry was beautiful AND gay right. He's the voice of Batman in the animated series I think.

I thought OP meant Georgina Hale in "Mahler."

I loved Alma, but I forgot why she hated Blaine so much. Did it have something to do with Buzz?

Show was filled with gay actors in the early 80s.
Richard Bekins (Jamie)
J Kenneth Campbell (Jordan)
Paul Stevens (Brian Bancroft)
William Gray Espy (Mitch)
Robert Gentry (Phillip Lyons)

I love the threads about the classic Procter & Gamble soaps.

[quote] She overpowered Laura Malone in the acting department.
Pfft. Who didn't.
|by Anonymous||reply 23||10/16/2013|
R19 Bill Espy was gay? Didn't know that. Then again he had great chemistry with that drag queen Felicia so that makes sense then!
|by Anonymous||reply 24||10/16/2013|
Always pinged for me.
65 years old. Never married.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||10/19/2013|
How many gay men are on soap operas now?
|by Anonymous||reply 26||10/19/2013|
Thought this thread was about Alice Krige's character in Ghost Story.
