Pierce Brosnan loses daughter to ovarian cancer.
From Huff post:
Pierce Brosnan's daughter, Charlotte, died on Friday, June 28 after a three-year battle with ovarian cancer.
"Charlotte fought her cancer with grace and humanity, courage and dignity," Brosnan announced in a statement obtained by People magazine Monday. "Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our beautiful dear girl. We pray for her and that the cure for this wretched disease will be close at hand soon. We thank everyone for their heartfelt condolences."
The actor had been filming an upcoming thriller flick, "November Man," in Eastern Europe, but flew to the U.K. to be by his daughter's side, according to the Telegraph. She passed away surrounded by loved ones, including her husband and two children, ages 14 and 8.
Charlotte's mother, Cassandra Harris, was Brosnan's first wife. The "007" star adopted Charlotte and her brother, Christopher, after their biological father died, according to the Telegraph. Harris died of ovarian cancer in 1991. Her mother also died of the disease.

Believe it or not, I babysat for both Charlotte and Christopher in the very early '80s. They were both completely charming and intelligent kids. Sad to hear.

Bronson seems like a real gentleman and a great family man. He is still married to his porky wife.

Those defective genes must be highly dominant.
I hope at least her daughter (I think one of the children is a girl) does a Jolie before it's too late for her.

this can be caused by hormone replacement therapy. beware

perhaps it can, r6 (though citing a medical journal or study would help bolster your unqualified statement). in Charlotte Harris's case, the cause was most likely genetic given that her mum and grandmother died of the same thing.

RIP. Pierce is a class act 100%. Still so hot!

Offensively off-topic, but I wouldn't mind Pierce as Dr. Strange in a Marvel movie.

Her grandmother also died of the disease. Three generations dead, so yes, I'd agree about the daughter doing something ASAP.

Condolences to Pierce...RIP Charlotte.

Pierce was only 19 when she was born.

Charlotte was Pierce's adopted daughter, not his biological daughter.

This is incredibly sad.
Jolie made the right decision. But without female hormones -it not going to be pretty.

So sad for him, he's had a lot of loss and he seems like a good guy.

Peace to Pierce and his family. How horrible to lose a wife and (step)daughter to the same disease like that. He seems like a lovely guy, and was always my favorite Bond, after Connery.

Wonder what Melissa Etheridge thinks about this?

I hope every female relative of her gets tested for the "cancer gene", and that they're willing to take pre-emptive steps. What a horrible legacy.
Condolences to all her family, and to Pierce, who has always been a crush of mine. He really does seem like a good guy.
