Injured myself at the gym and now can't move - BACK PAIN

Oh holy CRAP. Last night I worked out (swam laps) and then sat in the sauna for a while. Stood up, seemed to pull something, felt a back twinge, but went on my merry way. Woke up this morning in such intense pain that it hurt to put my feet on the floor and get out of bed. Hobbled to shower. Didn't help. Took several Advil and made it into work, but over the course of the day, the pain has radiated down my legs and now I'm finding it hard to walk or lie down. I just tried some Icy Hot on my lower back and am propped up on pillows...it hurts just to wiggle my legs. WILL THIS GO AWAY? Help.

Pinched nerve, possibly sciatic. You"re gonna need some bigger drugs.

acupuncture and Celebrex, OP. and physical therapy.

Similar thing happened to me. Worst pain ever. Pain killers helped. No pt, accupuncture, or chiropractor. My back is more sensitive now. Good luck, op. it does get better.

Read Dr. John Sarno's book.

It'll go away eventually. Mine took three weeks though.

Celebrex is bullshit, get something else.

Go to the ER, don't suffer for no reason.

Celebrex has been very helpful to me.

Yes, read John Sarno's book HEALING BACK PAIN. All you need to do is READ it and you'll feel better. I know it sounds bizarre, but it's true. I promise.

Has your rescue pet sniffed you for cancer, OP?

Go to see a doctor, or maybe even a chiropractor but not the type that wants you to keep going back or who thinks they can cure any disease by aligning your spine.
