Golden age actor John Sacton

Was a babe a million years ago. He was discovered by Henry Willson. The guy who discovered Rock Hudson

I always thought Saxton was gay but in recent years he's married an old actress. What gives?

by Anonymousreply 106/22/2013

Saxton at link

by Anonymousreply 206/22/2013

He was married for 12 yrs back in the 60's/70's and has a son.

I never really got a gay vibe from him.

by Anonymousreply 306/22/2013

Omg Forgive my spelling error. I'm doing this on my cell

by Anonymousreply 406/22/2013

OP, are you by any chance talking about John Saxon?

by Anonymousreply 506/22/2013

He wasn't much of an axor though

by Anonymousreply 606/22/2013

Met him a few years ago at a horror convention. SUCH a nice man, and still looks great. He was with his wife, who was at his autograph table. He was a major hunk as a young man, and was still hot in the 1980's.

by Anonymousreply 706/22/2013

[quote]Was a babe a million years ago

Not exactly. Even as a middle aged and older man he could get it...

by Anonymousreply 806/22/2013

Wow, he is still hot in that last picture and he had to pretty old by then!

by Anonymousreply 906/22/2013

At least he finally took off those toupees he wore for years. He should shave that head, and he'd be a hot (grand) daddy !

by Anonymousreply 1006/22/2013

Shot a nude photo at the beginning of his career

by Anonymousreply 1106/22/2013

Played a (hot) vampire in a Starsky & Hutch episode...

by Anonymousreply 1206/22/2013

Also played a (hot) werewolf in the '80s flick "My Mom's a Werewolf"

by Anonymousreply 1306/22/2013

Is he one of only a few actors to play a vampire AND a werewolf????

by Anonymousreply 1406/22/2013

It's nice that you mentally impaired people can find a common interest.

by Anonymousreply 1506/22/2013

Thanks r11. Yes John Saxton. Wonder if he had to give Henry Wilson a tumble. I wonder what it was like to hang around with Rock Hudson & friends. Must have been fun to say the least

by Anonymousreply 1606/22/2013

[quote]Yes John Saxton

It's Saxon. There is no "t".

by Anonymousreply 1706/22/2013

His real name is Carmine Orrico.

by Anonymousreply 1806/22/2013

OMG. So much stupidity in one short thread.

John Saxon.

Not Sacton. Not Saxton. Saxon. It's not hard.

by Anonymousreply 1906/22/2013

He held his own in Game of Death with Bruce Lee. Pretty badass, actually.

by Anonymousreply 2006/22/2013

Thanks for nude pic

by Anonymousreply 2106/22/2013

LOL, R8. I've crushed on Saxon since I was 6 years old, a billion years ago-- but in that pic, he looks like Ed Rendell.

by Anonymousreply 2206/22/2013

He makes me long for a simpler time when all Arabs were played by white guys.

by Anonymousreply 2306/22/2013

John Saxon was a young man in the 1950s. That badly photoshopped picture has him sporting feathered hair and a freaking headband. Fail.

by Anonymousreply 2406/23/2013

Saw him at CVS, Westwood, a few years ago. Still good looking, had a cap on, not too tall 5' 7 or 5' 8.

by Anonymousreply 2506/23/2013

He was so hot as Lana's love interest in Imitation Of Life.

by Anonymousreply 2606/23/2013

[quote]He was so hot as Lana's love interest in Imitation Of Life.

Stop it. That was John Gavin. Saxon WAS in "Portrait in Black" with Turner though.

by Anonymousreply 2706/23/2013

You're all wrong, the correct spelling is John Saxophone and he WAS in Imitation Of Live AND Portrait in Black AND Blood Beast From Outer Space.

by Anonymousreply 2806/23/2013

He played Phyllis' companion on the MTM show.

Did you know that the guy who was in the eppie where Mary dates a guy based solely on his looks moves from old lady star to old lady star in their final years? He was even Audrey Hepburn's companion upon her death. Wikipedia stops short of calling him a coffin robbing gigolo.

by Anonymousreply 2906/23/2013

The only FAIL is your unabashed stupidity. John Saxon was in his twenties in the '50s, which is obviously the time this photo was taken, dumbfuck.

by Anonymousreply 3006/23/2013

by Anonymousreply 3106/23/2013

R 29 You are so WRONG . How could you mistake John Saxon for Robert Wolders ? Wolders did appear on an MTM episode, and was the companion ob both Oberon , and Hepburn, when they died. But he has nothing to do with Saxon. Don't look alike, names are totally different. Get a clue

by Anonymousreply 3206/23/2013

Hugh O'Brian didn't marry until he was in his 80s. Wife is is thirty years younger.

by Anonymousreply 3306/23/2013

He's very short and bald.

by Anonymousreply 3406/23/2013

Massive pussyhound.

Big Obama supporter.

by Anonymousreply 3506/23/2013

So did Hugh O'Brian have sex with men? Always wondered. He was very sexy and very handsome.

John Saxon was a hunk, but I never thought he was gay or bi.

by Anonymousreply 3606/23/2013

He plays Jimmy Stewart's son in law in Mr. Hobbs Takes a Vacation or sumpin' and there's a scene where Saxon is on the beach and takes off this short robe to reveal a tight black speedo.

I must have been 10 when I first saw that movie on tv and I felt my little weenie grow bigger and bigger.

by Anonymousreply 3706/23/2013

My former boss who says he knew Saxon in San Fran way back when thought he was gay. Boss is not gay.

by Anonymousreply 3806/23/2013

Actor Rick Jason told a writer friend of mine that there were a few 50's & 60's actors who were basically straight, but didn't mind indulging in the homosex now and then, especially if the other guy was famous or could provide a career boost....two he mentioned specifically were Saxon and Greg Palmer.

by Anonymousreply 3906/23/2013

Who the hell is Greg Palmer ?

by Anonymousreply 4006/23/2013

I think Hugh O'Brian was gay.

by Anonymousreply 4106/23/2013

John Saxonn is still hot!

by Anonymousreply 4206/23/2013

GREG PALMER .....Who is he ?

by Anonymousreply 4306/23/2013

He used to play golf.

by Anonymousreply 4406/23/2013

Is this the actor who played Nancy's dad in the "Nightmare on Elm Street" movies?

by Anonymousreply 4506/23/2013

Of course he is, R45. Duh!

by Anonymousreply 4606/23/2013

LOL Greg or Gregg Palmer.....Universal-International contract player in the 1950's, star of some B westerns and lots of television in the 1960's and 1970's. Friend of Rock Hudson and another Henry Willson discovery. His real name was Palmer Lee.

Played Gloria Talbot's fiance in MAGNIFICENT OBSESSION, for an example.
