United Airlines Flight Offers Cocktail Napkins In Bathroom In Lieu Of Toilet Paper

A United Airlines flight had already taken off from London on its way San Francisco before realizing they'd forgotten to re-stock the only thing more important than tiny bottles of alcohol: toilet paper. So when the few rolls they had ran out, flight attendants offered passengers a complimentary downgrade to some cocktail napkins in a makeshift cardboard dispenser, shown above.

At least they chose the napkin stack sporting the slogan most appropriate to the conditions at hand. Though it'd be nice if they allowed passengers to make their own choice of improvised wiping materials. We're sure one or two people would have opted for torn up pages of SkyMall.

Don't people carry wet wipes in their carry-on bags?!

The best line in David Sedaris' new book is when he asked a flight attendant how they dealt with such pig ignorant passengers and she said "Pay attention to one of the last things we say to you." So on his next flight he noticed them walking around before they landed, armed with garbage bags saying "Your trash, your family's trash."
