The scrupulously-private Jodie Foster (can you blame her?) has just put her WeHo pad up for sale.

Take a gander.

by Anonymousreply 4106/17/2013

Wow! Nice. The only thing that has to go are the gold bathroom fixtures.

by Anonymousreply 106/15/2013

Very nice, I'd like it very much if there was any color anywhere.

Except for that one room with the dark, heavy, oppressive wood ceiling. Ugh.

by Anonymousreply 206/15/2013

Cold. I bet the furnishings are staged.

by Anonymousreply 306/15/2013

Looks very comfortable to me except I can't quite figure out that master bath.

by Anonymousreply 406/15/2013

That is a nice fucking pad. I'd live there in a heartbeat.

How enormous is that mirror in the second pic?

by Anonymousreply 506/15/2013

Where are the beef curtains?

by Anonymousreply 606/15/2013

WeHo? Isn't this Beverly Hills?

Love the pool. You look at water from pretty much every room.

The screening room is ugly.

Bigger photos:

by Anonymousreply 706/15/2013

I don't really like having the pool so close to the house.

by Anonymousreply 806/15/2013

Where's the game room with the pinball machine?

by Anonymousreply 906/15/2013

Looks sterile, hotel-ish. Very nice, yet no personality.

by Anonymousreply 1006/15/2013

Random and many living rooms. ...seemed like an odd floor plan....but it is quite serene.

by Anonymousreply 1106/15/2013

Is she moving out of Los Angeles? She'd often said that she was a Angeleno through and through. She was born and brought up in LA and has lived there for eons.

by Anonymousreply 1206/15/2013

According to Realestalker, R12, she bought a new house in December.

by Anonymousreply 1306/15/2013

Weren't both her bio-parents from elsewhere?

by Anonymousreply 1406/15/2013

The floor plan is a good use of an awkwardly shaped lot. I love the lap pool.

I like the pool close to the house for one reason, you want shade when you swim in that kind of heat. The house shades the pool a bit, it's either that or palm trees.

[quote]Except for that one room with the dark, heavy, oppressive wood ceiling.

I love that room. It reminds me of an English Tudor. I wonder what the front of the houes looks like from the outside.

You must admit, it is a modest house for someone of Jodie's means (I'm guessing at her means).

by Anonymousreply 1806/15/2013

Very corporate, almost sterile. Some good items, but not enough to save it overall.

by Anonymousreply 1906/15/2013

Courtyard is lovely.

by Anonymousreply 2006/16/2013

Too much dark brown. Ellen has sort of similar "brown" tastes that I dislike.

by Anonymousreply 2106/16/2013

R3 , is right. They've moved out,and professionals have staged it. That's why all the neutrals. She'd NEVER let the public see even the slightest detail of her private life.

by Anonymousreply 2206/16/2013

The parking is odd. It looks like you go through the master bedroom or bathroom to get there

Handy if you're single but weird with kids and groceries.

by Anonymousreply 2306/16/2013

You can't judge the furniture. The furnishings are pure staging lady. Clues: hurricane lamps, knick-knacks from Gumps, matchy room suites, wall art by the foot, and that gawd-awful fucking orchid.

In fact, the only thing that reads 'Jodie' (based only on gossip from the web mind you) is that squeegee in the shower stall. "Squee Gee! Spells SQUEEGEE, DAMMIT!"

The house itself is fabulous if only for the low ceilings in personal spaces with higher ones reserved for public ones. Every multi-million dollar house built since the 80s has a vault fetish. I don't need echoes in the "entertainer's kitchen" or the "Masterbath with double sink shitter".

Oh, and the fireplace mantles rock.

by Anonymousreply 2406/16/2013

R7 90069 is weho.

by Anonymousreply 2506/16/2013

An estimated $23,000/month mortgage. Damn...

by Anonymousreply 2606/16/2013

Hideous. Like a corrugated box decorated by the kind of dyke who has a daily pubic wax to avoid feeling human.

by Anonymousreply 2706/16/2013

r27, it's staged, not decorated.

Where does she keep her Leni Riefenstahl video collection?

by Anonymousreply 3006/16/2013

Beautiful house. I agree with the comments that it's a bit to brown

by Anonymousreply 3106/16/2013

Her new house- 1267 Lago Vist Dr., Beverly Hills, 90210

Interesting, it almost overlooks Ellen & Portia's old estate, that she sold to R. Seacrest for $35 mil. I'm sure she was disappointed to miss out on Portia sunbathing in the nude, next to that big pool.

Ellen & Portia's / now Ryan's - 1196 Cabrillo Dr.,Beverly Hills

by Anonymousreply 3206/16/2013

Nice, but I'm looking on Cielo Drive.

by Anonymousreply 3306/16/2013

If those walls could talk!

by Anonymousreply 3406/16/2013

I noticed that too, R23, but I'm thinking that the garage actually leads to the lower level somehow. Notice the dotted lines in the sitting room area. I believe that shows where the walls are in the garage underneath the sitting room.

by Anonymousreply 3506/16/2013

r32, How did you learn of the address?

by Anonymousreply 3606/16/2013

r32, that house seems to have a value of $2.5 million and is only 3 bedrooms. The house Jodie bought was supposedly worth $11.2 million

by Anonymousreply 3706/17/2013

Re # 36 - Celebrity

Aerial photos too - nice place

Re # 37 - you must be Zillowing the wrong house . Just checked Zillow, and Jody got a deal. Z puts the value at $13, 408,105 - she paid $11,750,000

by Anonymousreply 3806/17/2013

Thank you, r38.

by Anonymousreply 3906/17/2013

Jodie's new house:

by Anonymousreply 4006/17/2013

"Property records show the house was originally built in 1952 and measures 3,752 square feet, although we suspect it may actually be larger. Documents surreptitiously provided by Our Fairy Godmother in Beverly Hills show the house is of undefined square footage with five bedrooms, six bathrooms and four fireplaces. There are formal living and dining rooms, a library/study and a den, and office, and eat-in kitchen and a media room equipped with a projection system."
