Like a paperback novel

The kind the drugstore sells

by Anonymousreply 2706/13/2013

Stop reading my mind. What are you, a psychic friend?

by Anonymousreply 106/13/2013

Paperback? Who does that anymore?

by Anonymousreply 206/13/2013

The hero would be me.

by Anonymousreply 306/13/2013

Weren't these types of threads banned?

by Anonymousreply 406/13/2013

I'm sorry, I didn't realize they were banned.

by Anonymousreply 506/13/2013

What type of thread is it, R4?

by Anonymousreply 606/13/2013

Like an old time movie, something about ghosts and wishing wells.

by Anonymousreply 706/13/2013

Can you read my mind? Can you picture the things that I'm thinking of?

by Anonymousreply 806/13/2013

Let it go,OP,the feeling`s gone.

by Anonymousreply 906/13/2013

For R9, with love

by Anonymousreply 1006/13/2013

Enter number two

by Anonymousreply 1106/13/2013

when you reach the part where the heartaches come, the hero will be me...

by Anonymousreply 1206/13/2013

A movie queen to play the scene

Of bringing all the good things out in me

by Anonymousreply 1306/13/2013

R6, lyrics spam.

by Anonymousreply 1406/13/2013

Now THIS is how you put over a song, bitches.

by Anonymousreply 1506/13/2013

No one likes a hall monitor, R4 & R14.

'K, cunt?

by Anonymousreply 1606/13/2013

R15, she's a goddess. How is this the first time I've seen her?

by Anonymousreply 1706/13/2013

There's only one real version, eh.

by Anonymousreply 1806/13/2013

R15's post is terrible. That perfomance smells like Cheryl.

by Anonymousreply 1906/13/2013

Yeah, R17. She's pretty damn fierce.

by Anonymousreply 2006/13/2013

I love this song; it's a mix of schmaltz and wistfulness that still holds up today. It was used in the movie "We Are Marshall" to set the tone of sadness and loss in the town.

by Anonymousreply 2106/13/2013

I'm sure there are many of us in DL that had the good fortune of seeing Miss Viola Wills perform this in one of the many circuit parties of yore.

I consider myself lucky I did.

by Anonymousreply 2206/13/2013

Let's be real

by Anonymousreply 2306/13/2013

love the song.

r15, she sounds like Phoebe Snow.

by Anonymousreply 2406/13/2013

I don't know where we went wrong But the feelin's gone And I just can't get it back

Now these are great lyrics...(suck it Kanye!)

by Anonymousreply 2506/13/2013

Great song, instantly recognizable from the first few notes at the beginning.

by Anonymousreply 2606/13/2013

Once I was in Trader Joe's and "Sundown" started playing in the music system. As the song went on, people first began humming and then quietly singing the choruses. As the song went on, the choruses got louder and louder. Nobody was looking at one another. Just singing by themselves. The whole store.

"Sometimes I think it's a shame when I get feeling better when I'm feeling no pain."

I felt like I was in Canada.
