Today on Match Game it switched from 1975 to 1976

I got giddy. I know, I'm really, really pathetic.

I don't think we get the GSN, or I'd see if it holds up for me. It's one of the game shows I watched in grade school growing up. Fond memories of watching game shows and sitcom reruns all day during the summer.

OMG I bet you're a hoot at parties! Do your Charles Nelson Reilly impersonation next! Oh, it's not an impersonation...

In other news, 20th Century Fox will soon become 21st Century Fox.

You're sweet, OP. Ignore these creatures from the future. We call them Molochs. R2's breath smells like Weenapuss.

Was that the year Charles popped the huge balloon with the outgoing year on it and underneath it was another balloon with the incoming year on it? I thought that was just the funniest thing when I was a kid. We always got a kick out of the way they never attempted to conceal the fact that they were taping holiday episodes many weeks ahead of time. Remember when Hollywood Squares would switch to Storybook Squares over Christmas vacation week?

I'm going to rock your world, OP. Just lie back and enjoy.

21st Century Fox?

First, they remove the hyphen and now this?

Oh, the humanity.

by Anonymousreply 1406/13/2013

Next thing you'll tell me Rock Hudson and Doris Day aren't a couple!

by Anonymousreply 1506/13/2013

when I was a kid I used to love watching them change the year. I was gay.

by Anonymousreply 1606/13/2013

The year changes were always awesome. I loved the one at R7, where the Johnny Olsen says 'stay tuned for Secret Storm'. That was my Grammy's show.

LMAO at 1:20 when Brett says "Oh Mary, do we believe in fairies!!"

by Anonymousreply 1806/13/2013

Best game show ever.
