Is it about syphilis?
He Touched Me sung by Barbra

Maybe a ten foot pole?

She was 25 there, taking a quick break from shooting Funny Girl. These days she grates, but at that time, she was a pretty remarkable talent.

It's about masturbation.
|by Anonymous||reply 3||06/05/2013|
I don't think so, R3.

He touched me -
He put his finger there, and then he touched me
I felt a sort of tingle where he touched me
A tingle, a glow!
He blew it
He put his lips right there and then he blew it
And I kept shouting "Oh, for God's sake, do it!"
He blew quite a blow!

Mine wasn't either!
|by Anonymous||reply 6||06/05/2013|
It's from a show, bright boy.
|by Anonymous||reply 7||06/05/2013|
It's about Jesus.
|by Anonymous||reply 8||06/05/2013|
It's about 32 measures.
|by Anonymous||reply 9||06/06/2013|
DRAT! THE CAT!
|by Anonymous||reply 10||06/06/2013|
If it is about syphilis, I wish she was allergic,to penicillin
|by Anonymous||reply 11||06/06/2013|
Thank you OP. Everyone else, THAT'S why she is a legend. That was 46 year's ago, and she's still singing. Judy died, at 47, 2 years after this.
|by Anonymous||reply 12||06/07/2013|
Say what you will about her, she was amazing. Bab's rules
|by Anonymous||reply 13||06/07/2013|
It's about a cat burglar briefly touching you as she goes to fetch a guest list.

Barbra was 25 in the clip - She had already been a star on Broadway, in "Funny Girl", was making the movie, had 2 Emmy winning TV specials - this was her 3rd, was selling out arenas all over the country, and had several hit albums.
Lindsey Lohan is the same age, and in Rehab, for the 10th time.
That's the difference between true talent, and stardom...... and 'fame'.

My God, with what you’ve got, you don’t have to do that. But… that’s it… right there… don’t stop. Fuck, baby, don’t stop.”
|by Anonymous||reply 16||06/08/2013|
Wow. I can't believe she's only 25 in that clip. I am SOOO not a fan, but I admit she is wonderful, poised, and really quite excellent.
|by Anonymous||reply 17||06/08/2013|
And that concert was in front of 132,00 people. Amazing.
|by Anonymous||reply 18||06/08/2013|
The album version is actually even better - fucking unbelievable vocal. On a song like this, no one can touch her.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||06/16/2013|
You NASTY DISGUSTING HEATHENS... this song is about our LORD and SAVIOUR Jesus Christ touching our lives.
|by Anonymous||reply 20||06/16/2013|
Cane we connect this to the 'Barbra Streisand - Cockswoman extrodinare' thread ? It seems so fitting.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||06/23/2013|
R12, it is difficult to take your judgments seriously when you can't spell the plural of "year."
|by Anonymous||reply 22||06/23/2013|
It's about RELIGION.
Or maybe the guy touched Babs in the right place.
|by Anonymous||reply 23||06/23/2013|
[R 22], it is hard to take you seriously. Period.
|by Anonymous||reply 24||06/23/2013|
R24, ass, quit putting the space in your references to other posts. The fact that you're a barely functioning illiterate doesn't preclude your being able to learn to drop a space. With so much left in your head for you to play with.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||06/23/2013|
[R 25] I have more in my head to play with, than you have between your legs. Call me juvenile , but FUCK YOU , asshole !
|by Anonymous||reply 26||06/24/2013|
OP, I would say that, yes, it is about syphilis.
Because Barbra is definitely in the advanced stages of general paresis.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||06/24/2013|
I prefer the Fyvush Finkel version.
|by Anonymous||reply 28||06/24/2013|
Oh dear , Lord help me
|by Anonymous||reply 29||06/24/2013|
Probably my favorite Barbra song ever. And as someone else mentioned, the album version is stunning - gives me goosebumps everytime I hear it.
|by Anonymous||reply 30||06/24/2013|
It's the theme song of SNAP.
|by Anonymous||reply 31||06/24/2013|
WOW . Now I get it . She's one of the best - imagine Miley Cyrus trying to sing a ballad like that . I get the love of her talent. We don't have that anymore.
|by Anonymous||reply 32||08/26/2013|
"And suddenly, nothing, Nothing, NOTHING is the Saaaaame."
Barbra was brilliant. That certainly was a Happening in Central Park.

My Other favorite, "Starting Here, Starting Now" . Amazed when I saw her in concert 2 years ago , she could still hit that final note. At 71. Poor Judy had lost her voice almost completely, before she died at 47. She really could not have made it any longer - she just seemed worn out.
