She was probably a Republican because she had a lot of money, but I don't think she'd see what the "scandal" was about. I think she'd consider it a tragedy, but not a conspiracy.
Had she lived, what would Laura Branigan think about Benghazi?

She spent a lot of time in Libya and I expect she'd have a fairly nuanced view. She was briefly sexually involved with Qaddafi in the '80s.

Funny, this crossed my mind recently. I also often wonder what John-Eric Hexum's views on the IRS scandal would be if he hadn't been shot through the head in 1982. What do you reckon he'd think that commissioner should be fired after taking the Fifth instead of being put on administrative leave?
|by Anonymous||reply 2||05/24/2013|
Well, I'll wait until Stacey Q chimes in on that particular topic.
|by Anonymous||reply 3||05/24/2013|
Why hasn't Bieber weighed in on this?
|by Anonymous||reply 4||05/24/2013|
Perhaps she is discussing many issues on the global horizon in an undisclosed location with Elvis.
|by Anonymous||reply 5||05/24/2013|
Weirdest thread ever.

She'd probably call Gloria.
|by Anonymous||reply 8||05/24/2013|
I think Taylor Dayne has a better grasp on these sorts of issues. Check out her new pop dance sigle "4 Dead Americans".

Indeed she did [r7]
|by Anonymous||reply 11||05/24/2013|
Does she have her number? The alias that she's been living under?
|by Anonymous||reply 12||05/24/2013|
Interesting question, as Laura Branigan had a torrid affair with Ben Gazzara.
|by Anonymous||reply 13||05/24/2013|
You know what really would have pissed off Minnie Riperton -
Fast and Furious!!
|by Anonymous||reply 14||05/24/2013|
Thank God Kim Carnes is still around to weigh in - I think she's been quoted in most of the Times's Benghazi articles.
|by Anonymous||reply 15||05/24/2013|
Kim has been a Resident Scholar on North Africa at CFR since 2007, when she finished her PhD. I find her Benghazi writing incisive and interesting.

I was just about to pop in Lee Atwater's cover of Jani Lane's "Down Boys".
|by Anonymous||reply 17||05/24/2013|
The OP has voces in her head.
|by Anonymous||reply 18||05/24/2013|
I'm sure she would have wanted them to exercise some Self Control.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||05/24/2013|
Party Smyth has offered her services
|by Anonymous||reply 20||05/24/2013|
Surely she'd release a song about a girl who goes by the alias "Sharia" . . . and how she has a burka that she's been livin' unda.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||05/24/2013|
Is that Robert De Niro at R18 . . . talking Italian?
|by Anonymous||reply 22||05/24/2013|
Forget about Laura and all the rest,what does Elias Koteas think about it?
|by Anonymous||reply 23||05/24/2013|
Could Lee Atwater, deservedly dead since 1991, been of help to the presidential campaigns of John McCain and/or Mitt Romney?
I ask because McCain and Romney -- and it would also be true of Atwater -- give a shit about Benghazi. (But they all cared about our U.S. elections.)
|by Anonymous||reply 24||05/24/2013|
Laura thinks she's the lucky one..

She'd say the ambassador was holding out for a hero, one who never came...
|by Anonymous||reply 27||05/24/2013|
Juice Newton told me its all a hoax.
|by Anonymous||reply 28||05/24/2013|
Juice Newton just said that to piss off Crystal Gayle.
