Here is Prospect Park's press release. It seems to be full of doubletalk which doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Obviously, PP is retooling the schedule to save money. Initially, they claimed to have funding for a year of production. Are they cutting back now to ensure they can go for two years? Or for a more dire reason?

I thought the shows were doing well on Hulu - they always seem to be in the most watched list.

I've been watching and enjoying both shows, and would hate to lose them again.

If I'm reading correctly, they are currently planning to start the next wave of filming in August.

If they are already this worried about the viewing trends, it wouldn't be surprising if they decide before that to totally pull the plug.

r6, Daytime soaps have never been done on film. They are currently recorded digitally, though "tape" is still used to describe the process.
