NBC should just fold as a network.
So That "Whitney" Program Was Cancelled
|by Anonymous||reply 49||05/11/2013|
you liked Whitney op?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
|by Anonymous||reply 1||05/10/2013|
God, the promos for that show were so annoying when it first came out like it was the funniest thing of all time. I tried watching and it was terrible.
She still has some money from co-creating 2 Broke Girls.
|by Anonymous||reply 2||05/10/2013|
That's awesome. "Whitney" STUNK.
|by Anonymous||reply 3||05/10/2013|
What else did NBC cancel?
|by Anonymous||reply 4||05/10/2013|
Don't worry, Andrew! I think NBC is trying to save The New Normal and (Go On). They might not be able to, but both of those shows seem to have a lot of network support, even if viewers aren't entirely on board.
|by Anonymous||reply 5||05/10/2013|
Up All Night was mercifully killed.
|by Anonymous||reply 6||05/10/2013|
Don't think they had a choice with Up All Night. Remember reading Applegate wanted to leave.
|by Anonymous||reply 7||05/10/2013|
Poor baby. It was a wash out so they threw Whitney out with the bath water. Oh, wait.
|by Anonymous||reply 8||05/10/2013|
Well, she's dead...
|by Anonymous||reply 9||05/10/2013|
|by Anonymous||reply 10||05/10/2013|
It's because Alec Sulkin hated that show and he is dating Tal Rabinowitz, Executive VP of Comedy. That is part of the reason the show is done.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||05/10/2013|
I found Whitney's bf strangely sexy.
|by Anonymous||reply 12||05/10/2013|
|by Anonymous||reply 13||05/10/2013|
Well, you'll be happy then, R13, because NBC just picked up 'Undateable,' the pilot that stars Chris D'Elia.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||05/10/2013|
Good riddance Whitney, may you never be seen on TV again. Your friend Chelsea is funny while you are just crude.
|by Anonymous||reply 15||05/10/2013|
Whitney based the Kat Dennings character on herself, didn't she?
|by Anonymous||reply 16||05/10/2013|
Thanks, r15, Guess he knew it was time to jump ship.
|by Anonymous||reply 17||05/10/2013|
The actor who played the bf is relatively cute and talented. He was the best part of the show. It's good to hear that he has another acting project lined up.
|by Anonymous||reply 18||05/10/2013|
Whitney is so annoying and unfunny. Did her other awful show on E! get cancelled too? Can't stand her!
|by Anonymous||reply 19||05/10/2013|
Her show on CBS got picked up and going quite well
|by Anonymous||reply 20||05/10/2013|
The hipster BF is hawt.
The rest of the show was unrelentingly awful. And Whitney Cummings is the worst TV actress in recent memory, which is saying a lot.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||05/10/2013|
It might have been good if she wasn't on it. We'll never know.
|by Anonymous||reply 22||05/10/2013|
Flavor of the month for a while and now- buh bye- very unfunny woman.
|by Anonymous||reply 23||05/10/2013|
The guy who played Whitney's boyfriend, Chris D'Elia, is actually a stand up comic. He was on Conan's show a few weeks ago.
"Whitney" was completely horrid, hard to believe she created "Two Broke Girls", which is hysterical.
Guess, Whitney Cummings needs to be working behind the scenes rather than try to act and write. She is an awful actress, she's as bad as Lens Dunham and that's saying a lot!
The powers-that-be who run these networks, and cable channels, start to believe the hype surrounding certain people in showbiz, then they are stuck with sub-par shows and incredibly bad acting! Some have finally realized their huge mistakes, "Girls" will be gone after their next season.
|by Anonymous||reply 24||05/10/2013|
r12, I think that show sucked enough all on its own.
|by Anonymous||reply 25||05/10/2013|

...and that's where your premise falls apart.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||05/10/2013|
Go On was just cancelled.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||05/10/2013|

"Two Broke Girls" is quite funny, sure the jokes are corny and juvenile, but the two main characters have chemistry, so do Jonathan Kite (Oleg) and Jennifer Coolidge (Sophie).
Matthew Moy, as the girls boss Han, is a great foil for the two main characters. Garrett Morris, as Earl the cashier, also gets in some great lines. The show is hilarious.
Watch the damn show, then come back here to comment on it. I doubt you've seen it, because "Whitney" and "Two Broke Girls" don't seem as if they were created by the same person!
|by Anonymous||reply 28||05/10/2013|
Was Go On the Matthew Perry show?
Yikes. Chandler Bing strikes out... AGAIN.
|by Anonymous||reply 29||05/10/2013|
I have seen "Two Broke Girls", R29. Kat Dennings is, quite probably, the worst actress I've ever seen in a major show. And, while I realize that people adore Jennifer Coolidge, she, and the character always come across as mildly retarded. I've also seen Whitney (once) it was so laugh free I thought I was watching Schindler's List.
|by Anonymous||reply 30||05/10/2013|
Why they be cancel Goon?
|by Anonymous||reply 31||05/10/2013|
It is, r30. Here's an article:
|by Anonymous||reply 32||05/10/2013|
I can't imagine that The New Normal will survive this carnage. I was one of the few that liked both Go On and The New Normal, so I was pulling for them.
|by Anonymous||reply 33||05/10/2013|
NBC must be negotiating to make it work with The New Normal, or else they would have already announced its cancellation.
|by Anonymous||reply 34||05/10/2013|
Community renewed, The New Normal cancelled.
|by Anonymous||reply 35||05/10/2013|
2 broke girls is the worst. Glad to see it took a dive in season 2. Needs to be gone.
|by Anonymous||reply 36||05/10/2013|
Community is a very funny show...
|by Anonymous||reply 37||05/10/2013|
Kat Dennings is always yelling on that show. Why doesn't someone tell her they have microphones, use your indoor voice dear.
|by Anonymous||reply 38||05/10/2013|
2BG is the reining worst comedy on tv. Viewers seem to be fleeing too.
|by Anonymous||reply 39||05/10/2013|
Looks like NBC fucking cleaned house.
They should just show porn 24/7.
MILF, DILF, interracial, gay/straight/bi.
They would get massive ratings if they did this.
|by Anonymous||reply 40||05/10/2013|
Wow, I can't believe "Community" survived. Are they just trying to milk enough episodes for syndication at this point?
I was hoping "New Normal" might make it but watching the two guys raise their baby wouldn't have been that thrilling so I can't say I'm totally disappointed. I will miss seeing Justin Bartha play gay every week.
|by Anonymous||reply 41||05/10/2013|
Looks like hottie Blair Underwood is going to be the new Ironside.
|by Anonymous||reply 42||05/10/2013|
Blain Underwood: epitome of 'meh.'
|by Anonymous||reply 43||05/10/2013|
NBC only has the Voice. Maybe it's time for The Junior Voice and a couple more spinoffs so they can air Voice & Voice repeats all week.
|by Anonymous||reply 44||05/10/2013|
Don't forget about me, bitches.
|by Anonymous||reply 45||05/10/2013|
We're also sending a class of college girls to Italy in hopes lightning will 'Knox' twice!
|by Anonymous||reply 46||05/10/2013|
But she can sing and has an awesome voice.
|by Anonymous||reply 47||05/11/2013|
I'm sorry but she deserves to be flogged within an inch of her life for that woeful Two Broke Girls! That dark haired girl has got to be the worst actor of all time, no? Who is she fucking to get any work?
|by Anonymous||reply 48||05/11/2013|
