Godiva Gift

I was given the following gift but have not yet consumed any of it.

Any opinions? (Admittedly, I'm not enthused.)

[italic][bold]Description[/bold]

Taking the chocolate bar to a whole new level — even by GODIVA standards. Our Dessert Truffle Bars Gift Set includes one bar each of Milk Chocolate Cheesecake, Caramel Apple Pie and White Chocolate Tiramisu, and two Dark Chocolate Soufflé bars. All with the intensity, silkiness and richness of Godiva chocolate. [/italic]

Godiva's not all that anymore. Save it and re-gift it.

I still have the taste of the Godiva 85% Santo Domingo chocolate I was eating. I would prefer a box of all dark filled chocolates. I don't know if they are still makin gthe Santo Domingo I have. Sometime ago was closed out at reduce price at my supermarktet, I bought all they had. Have not seen it in awhile, then found some at Big Lot at a good price. I bought all they had.

Still expensive for chocolate though R1. I wouldn't bother.

The truffles are really good it's those hazelnut ones that suck

My mother loves that Godiva stuff. Re-gift it to some lady in the 'burbs.

Why not just be grateful anybody was thoughtful enough to even buy you a gift?

by Anonymousreply 605/05/2013

Just not as good as they use to be. Didn't Nestle buy them?

by Anonymousreply 705/05/2013

Not that much better than Hershey's. Yuck. Truthfully I prefer German chocolate and Ice Cubes. My fave.
