V neck tshirt

Ever known/seen any man pull off the look ?

I find them hideous on men.

by Anonymousreply 2904/30/2013

If you have a hairy chest, they just don't work.

by Anonymousreply 104/26/2013

[quote]If you have a hairy chest, they just don't work.

I disagree!

I don't understand sleeveless ("wife-beater") T-shirts. Isn't the main functions of a T-shirt to protect your shirt from underarm stains?

by Anonymousreply 204/26/2013

Just what is so hard about "pulling off" a V neck T shirt?

This place is going nuts.

It's like saying it's hard to pull off wearing a button down collar.

What's to pull off?

by Anonymousreply 304/26/2013

I certainly have seen someone pull of that look.

by Anonymousreply 404/26/2013

Charles Manson rocked that look

by Anonymousreply 504/26/2013

Gays still favor that look

by Anonymousreply 604/26/2013

It depends. I just found twinko when google imaging it - I hate recorded off the TV to bypass copyright laws and getting it yanked videos. Unwatchable!

male cleavage

by Anonymousreply 804/26/2013

The look can be pulled off pretty easily.

Harder is the "Super V", with the V much wider than the neck and plunging far down the front. it can look hot, but also sloppy and ridiculous.

And, obviously the "Paint On V" is hard to pull off without a great body, but that goes for any super tight clothing

by Anonymousreply 904/26/2013

Why do gays favor the V neck Tshirts so much. I understand the wifebeater. To show off your muscles. But if you don't have breasts what is it to show off?

by Anonymousreply 1004/26/2013

Godunov certainly pulled it off.

by Anonymousreply 1204/26/2013

T-SHIRT, people.

Not unbuttoned shirt.

by Anonymousreply 1304/26/2013

Fine R13, but we've already come up with examples, so OP is guilty of hyperbole. Case Closed.

by Anonymousreply 1404/26/2013

Jonathan Rhys-Meyers can't even pull that look off.

by Anonymousreply 1504/26/2013

I've read the look nowadays is muscle slut shirts. Hot and slutty!

by Anonymousreply 1604/26/2013

You need either a barrel chest (and big shoulders) to pull that off; or a sunken chest. JRM has sloping shoulders so of course it's not a good look for him.

by Anonymousreply 1704/26/2013

Slutty clothing on men is nasty. It can seem hot at first, but guys going about with rolled up sleeves and 17 buttons undone from their shirt you just know are those they know they're hot types and douchebags.

Leaving a bit to the imagination is better. Like that anchor bitch who was making fun of Lochte, she was right that it was hot he had just the top button undone.

by Anonymousreply 1804/26/2013

Only guys with muscles can pull off a v-neck. Skinny guys look ridiculous in them, and overweight guys look equally ridiculous.

Basically, your biceps have to make the sleeves bulge, and your chest has to raise the "v" in the collar. That's how you pull off a v-neck.

by Anonymousreply 1904/26/2013

I only wear them (and in white only) under a buttoned shirt that I'm going to wear without a tie. I don't like to have regular shirt material next to my skin (other than my arms). (I know, MARY!)

by Anonymousreply 2004/26/2013

r19 is correct you have to have moderate to outstanding man pecs to make them look hawt. Otherwise, just step away from the v necks.

by Anonymousreply 2104/26/2013

by Anonymousreply 2204/27/2013

Someone called?

by Anonymousreply 2304/27/2013

How about this one I came across? Just as well he left those buttons alone!

by Anonymousreply 2404/30/2013

OP, you weren't recently on a blind date that was featured in the Boston Globe magazine, were you? One of the boys remarked about his date's wearing a v-neck shirt with a t-shirt underneath. Made it sound like it was the worst faux pas EVAH.

All the gay blind dates in the Globe go horribly awry because much like the queens on this site, they have WAY too high expectations ("looking for Mr. Right!").

by Anonymousreply 2504/30/2013

That is a henley, R24, not a t-shirt.

Let this thread be a lesson to any of you who seek fashion advice on datalounge. 90% of the posters here don't even know what a V-neck t-shirt is.

by Anonymousreply 2604/30/2013

I know R26 but they weren't just talking about V Necks and the thread became all encompassing again.

by Anonymousreply 2704/30/2013

I have a Henley. Looks terrible.

It was a gift.

by Anonymousreply 2804/30/2013

Looks good on me!
