I love how my rights are denied because some mouth-breathers find gay sex too icky to think about...even though they can't resist taking to the airwaves to discuss it ad nauseam.
Meanwhile my partner of 15 years and I rarely have sex anymore, and maybe never will again, but we love each other, we like our life together and we want the same rights and priveleges as straight people in sexless marriages. It's so ludicrous how the right zeroes in on sex acts and sexual practices when many of the gay couples who've been together longterm are already settled, boring and married or, at the very least, prioritize sex way below many other benefits of marriage, like companionship, devotion and sharing of assets.
I think they have a distorted view of our sexuality and they're, frankly, jealous. It really burns them that we have non-procreative sex without guilt and actually celebrate it.
What we do--or don't do--in the bedroom should have nothing to do with the marriage debate, but of course these loony obsessives can't let it go.
This won't work, anyway. Younger generations do not have the same knee-jerk revulsion that the older ones do. People between 20 and 30 grew up hearing about Presidential blow jobs, and they know all about anal sex, too. Half of them practiced both with the opposite sex while "adhering" to abstinance guidelines in high school. They won't be put off by hearing about bjs and anal, and focusing on the freakier shit like scat and the like wont sway them, either. They'll see it for what it is (a massive exaggeration of a minuscule subset of fetishists who even most gay people are turned off by) and also draw the obvious conclusion that these acts, like oral and anal sex, are practiced by both gay and straight people.
Very few sex acts are inherently "gay". Even penetrating a man anally has become neutral ground, with women "pegging" their boyfriends or husbands with a strap-on and both parties enjoying it. Fisting? Women have fists, too. They also have an additional orifice in which to receive a fist, and many hetero couples enjoy that too. Piss play? BDSM? Nipple clamps, cock rings, genial piercings? Not necessarily gay, either.
