The Lords of Salem

Going to see it tonight.

Patricia Quinn, Meg Foster and Judy Geeson!

Can't wait. I just hope it is better than that Halloween shit.

I actually enjoyed it. Not much gore and more psychological horror.

How bad was Sheri Moon Zombie, OP?

by Anonymousreply 304/25/2013

I've always loved Sheri Moon Zombie, but then again I usually love non-actors.

Patricia Quinn definitely gave the performance of the film. Meg Foster and Dee Wallace were not far behind. If you like horror movies, you'll probably love it. If not, you might find it pointless. My favorite scene was Sheri Moon and the neon cross with the tall demon/Satan creeping up behind her.

Patricia Quinn talking about palm reading was also awesome.

Moon Zombie has improved with age.

Dee Wallace was hilarious (in a good way) and were Quinn & Geeson as her sisters.

Meg Foster stole the film, though. Very creepy and I really hope she was in a body suit.

I liked the scene in the church with the Catholic priest along with Meg hanging out in the kitchen.

It was nice to see Rob Zombie abandon that "white trash" slasher shit.

Again, I enjoyed it but I can definitely see a lot of kids hating it. I'm 36 and grew up on 80s slasher as well as great 70s horror like Burnt Offerings, Suspiria, etc... But today's kids just have crap like Saw and ohyer torture porn. No real attention span a film liek this may require.

Really, R4?? Even in Halloween 2? (Yes, I'm admitting that I've watched the remake of Halloween 2. It was on cable. Don't judge me.) I just remember watching her and thinking, "Well, I guess Rob Zombie just really loves his wife." Maybe I should blame him.

I sorta ashamed to admit that I think Rob Zombie is amazingly sexy, especially after hearing him on Howard Stern last month. I want him to do me.

I just saw this the other night so I looked up this thread.

Sheri Moon Zombie was quite good in this, surprisingly. And there was no CGI.

The ending is a trippy, 60s like haze.

And in the end, it's basically one big metaphor for addiction.
