Jon Hamm looks like shit

So old. Is he a heavy drinker or something?

by Anonymousreply 2404/22/2013

He has been rather grumpy lately too. He should be grateful for that big dick.

by Anonymousreply 104/21/2013

He has more lines on his face than a steno pad.

I think the are making him look bad this indicate Don's downward spiral.

(If they wanted him to look good he'd look good---TV makeup is amazing stuff nowadays.

by Anonymousreply 404/21/2013

What r3 said! I would do Elizabeth Hendrickson before Jon Hamm.

by Anonymousreply 504/21/2013

Looks like a slimeball without the MadMen hair and clothes.

by Anonymousreply 604/21/2013

Oh damn, OP. I was hoping you'd let me fuck you.

by Anonymousreply 704/21/2013

Nobody smokes a lot without repercussions.

by Anonymousreply 804/21/2013

He looks 10 years older than his real age. I'm a year younger and look younger than my age, and he could pass for my father.

by Anonymousreply 904/21/2013

do you mean on the show or as himself r9?

by Anonymousreply 1004/21/2013

He looked much younger as himself on Sesame Street recently...

by Anonymousreply 1104/21/2013

both r10. He looks like hell on and off the show. He's one of those guys that looks handsome from far away, but it's a different story as you get closer and closer

by Anonymousreply 1204/21/2013

He does look very dissipated and oily this season, but I'm assuming it's makeup for the show.

Nevertheless, I find it very peculiar that his cool character doesn't have sideburns and dry hair by this point in the show's timeine....1968, is it?

by Anonymousreply 1304/21/2013

Can he still become a movie star or has his time passed by now?

by Anonymousreply 1404/21/2013

His parents died really young. Maybe he's genetically programmed for premature aging.

by Anonymousreply 1504/21/2013

He can, but you can't, dear. I saw "Friends With Kids."

by Anonymousreply 1604/21/2013

The Don and Betty characters are getting bad lighting this season. It goes along with their story lines. Actually, it began season 5 for Betty, season 4 for Don. Check it out--they get lit from low angles.

Jon Hamm has always looked older than his age. Here's what he said about it:

"I came in the Dawson's Creek era; it was all about tiny guys who looked like teenagers, and I haven't looked like a teenager ever," he says. "So I was, like, auditioning to be their dads. At 25."

Jon is a guest on "Live with Kelly and Michael" in two days - Wednesday, the 24th.

by Anonymousreply 1904/22/2013

The one scene where he looked good in the "To Have and To Hold" episode was when he stayed in bed as Megan was leaving the apartment for her soap opera filming.

Mad Men definitely pulls its characters down a notch or two in appearance according to some storyline or theme.

by Anonymousreply 2004/22/2013

r20, you're reading too much into it. The lighting and makeup probably make him look better. You realize that die-hard viewers who look for metaphor in every line reading and visual element aren't the show's only audience. It also appeals to fraus on a purely soap opera level who want to see their movie star handsome leading man looking as handsome as possible, and the produers know that. And btw, soaps are taped, not filmed.

[quote]And btw, soaps are taped, not filmed.

Actually, nothing on television has been "taped" for over a decade. Soaps are shot on DV.

by Anonymousreply 2204/22/2013

And DV stands for?

by Anonymousreply 2304/22/2013

They were in 1968, sweetie pie.
