Summer Ice Melt In Antarctica Is At The Highest Point In 1,000 Years, Researchers Say

We cannot continue to deny that this is happening. Save the planet. There's no time left to waste.

So OP, go talk to China and North Korea. They are the worst in the world in regards to the environment.

by Anonymousreply 104/16/2013

I wish I could talk to China. That country is wreaking havoc on the environment--and this is only the start of China's destructive affect on the planet.

I want to buy a time share on the beach in Kaiser Wilhelm II Land or, failing that, Queen Mary Land (I know. I know: cliche).

by Anonymousreply 304/16/2013

Save it how, OP, specifically.

Tell me how, as one person, what can I do?

by Anonymousreply 404/16/2013

R4. Do what you can. Recycle. Don't waste resources. Support green companies. Donate to companies who work to lobby companies not to pollute. Elect cndidates who care about the environment.

Do your own research to see how you can contribute and help. Don't expect that others will give you all the answers. Be responsible and act on your own.

by Anonymousreply 504/16/2013

Herro? Herro? Is that you, R2. I ready to talk.

Stop paying for packaging and planned obsolescence.

by Anonymousreply 704/16/2013

Did you see the guy on Maher who said we could reverse this by feeding our cows properly?

by Anonymousreply 804/16/2013

methane gas from cows does have an ENORMOUS affect, much more than carbon dioxide

by Anonymousreply 904/16/2013

Does anyone else think it's too late to do anything to reverse what's going on with climate change?

by Anonymousreply 1004/16/2013

[quote]Did you see the guy on Maher who said we could reverse this by feeding our cows properly?

Yes, I wasn't paying close enough attention to the mechanics of what he said – something about taking carbon out of the air and putting it back into the soil through cattle farming practices. But he was certainly optimistic.

Stop eating beef is the way, but it's already going on and caused the price of chicken to go through the roof...making beef more attractive to the poor.

by Anonymousreply 1204/16/2013

We need a methane tax on beef.

by Anonymousreply 1304/16/2013

it's not too late to do something.

by Anonymousreply 1404/16/2013

Cheer up world it may never bloody happen!

by Anonymousreply 1504/16/2013

[quote]Stop eating beef is the way

That may be the way, but it's not what this guy was advocating. He thinks raising more cattle the proper way -- i.e., grazing them as they did long ago -- is the answer.

by Anonymousreply 1604/16/2013

I don't think there's any saving the planet--there is only adapting at this point.

by Anonymousreply 1704/16/2013

So Canada becomes Florida and Florida becomes a desert. Just take your palm trees and margaritas to Canada.

by Anonymousreply 1804/16/2013

Ship Coulter to Antarctica. Her frozen twat will solve everything.
