Forget the Almiqui!

A swarm of giant African land snails is headed this way!

They feed voraciously on more than 500 plant species. They eat through plaster walls. They can produce about 1,200 eggs a year and have been known to carry a parasitic rat lungworm that can cause illness in humans, including a form of meningitis.

What does Mrs. Schuster say?

Bite your tongue!

This is no laughing matter. Invasive species pose a greater threat to the US than terrorists. We should be allocating significantly more funds to deal with this issue.

Eewwwww, R6!

And lol!

Maybe we can have a Very Special Chopped! : Invasive Species episode.

Appetizer basket: Zebra mussels, kudzu, Asian carp, Bitter melon (wasn't this actually used on an episode?)

Entree basket: Burmese python, Water hyacinth, Nutria, Asparagus fern, Leaffooted bug (fucker is murder on my tomato plants)

Dessert basket: Japanese honeysuckle, Africanized honeybee, Red imported fire ant, Northern snakehead, Hydrilla

Yes, that's just what the almiqui wants us to do.

by Anonymousreply 904/16/2013

It serves them right for making plaster their main building ingredient.

by Anonymousreply 1004/16/2013

Speaking of invasive species...

by Anonymousreply 1104/16/2013

Don't worry. I hear that the chupacabra's favorite food is African land snails.

In a few months, they'll all be gone.

by Anonymousreply 1204/16/2013

Damn invasive species! They're just like Mexicans, crossing over our boarders and taking out the good old USA!

by Anonymousreply 1304/17/2013

[quote]They're already in Florida.

No big loss.

No one, really? okay, I'll do it....

I for one would like to welcome our future African Land Snail Overlords!

by Anonymousreply 1504/17/2013

I bow to our giant African land snail overlords.

by Anonymousreply 1604/17/2013

Hahahahahaha!!! The genius is, they are simply our first wave of invasion of the US mainland!

Go forth, my pretty invertebrate footsoldiers! Go forth and DESTROY!
