Daft Punk To Launch Album In Tiny Oz Town

... called Wee Waa.

Daft Punk's new album will debut at a farm show in the tiny Australian town of Wee Waa known as the "Cotton Capital of Australia".

A remote farming town in Australia is set to hit the global stage next month after French electro-pop duo Daft Punk picked it for the global launch of their new album.

Wee Waa, with a population of just 1,653 and about 500km northwest of Sydney, will host the official launch of Random Access Memories, Daft Punk's first album in eight years, local officials said.

The album will be released on May 21 but it is set to be played for the first time anywhere in the world at an exclusive 4,000-ticket party at the annual Wee Waa agricultural show on May 17.

Daft Punk themselves will not be attending, but the Wee Waa Show Society are claiming it as a major coup for the event, where the highlights are usually a pet show and wood-chopping contest.

Get lucky, released 2 days ago.

So nice to hear bands writing original songs again. Getting sick of EDM dropping song samples from other songs on top of a standard dance beat and calling it original music.

Daft Punks new album will be the dominate Dance release for 2013.

This album should counter balance the new DJ reality TV show coming out, AKA: "Can you play a prerecorded a song on your notebook" You must be a living Mozart then.

That Get Lucky is phenomenally good, the best thing they've done in at least a decade.

No surprise that was @ #1 in iTunes so I blind bought it to see the fuss, was curious since Pharrell was on it.

Also no surprise to find Nile Rodgers was on it, it's a total nod to prime Chic, truly amaze. Bless Nile, only a couple of years ago it looked like he was a goner but thank god he recovered from cancer.

Daft Punk is restoring my faith in Dance Music again.

No more You Tube sampled beats by guys who shave off half their head please.
